Is it good to beatmatch with this unity? I want to train mixing by ear (hate sync) and I think the bigger jogwheels and pitch faders sort of help with this.

I personally use this and enjoy it to remix music by ear. I agree with you by ear is the best way to go but I am old LoL. Been doing this since back in the 80's The Numark Mixtrack Platinum I enjoy for showing the information in the center of the jog wheel great for learning or playing with quick help. The price is Great for the 4 Deck Features. I do still miss the old Pioneer Vinyl Record Scratching lol. Have a Wonderful Weekend. 👋😎

HI, Thanks for watching and the question. I can do my best I had to play with different connections finally the only thing that worked for me was connecting my sound directly to my soundbar. I then connect the output into a 2 wire to usb into the back of Pc. Then settings in the Online Webpage after purchasing the license hope that helps.
