Had the same problem, I flipped mine upside down and blasted it thoroughly with air duster and it works solid now. Just gotta knock out the dirt and dust from in between the contact ribbons.

same problem here, but with the left volume fader... it's don't go full down in Traktor when the fader touch the limit, sometimes left a lil bit, sometimes it dont reach the mid.. but it was only dust (thx God), a good air compressor and some contact cleaner can make it works fine again :D (air before contact cleaner) its a nice controller, but u need to be special careful with dust and any kind of dirt (like any other controller i think)

This is a common problem and NOT A BIG DEAL. it's just dirty. Notice how it first will affect whatever fader you use the most. (usually the cross fader is the first because most dj's use that one more than anything else on the board). there are several ways to clean these contacts. compressed air or any kind of cleaner usually works just fine. just remember that sooner or later you'll have to do it again and again. unless you dj inside of a bubble :)

This is pretty common on most faders. I have had it happen on several pieces of equipment, including one of these. I usually just squirt a little servisol super 10 in the side that is leaking and that will usually clear it right up. No disassembly is required, just attach the supplied straw to the can of super 10, stick the straw into the fader aimed to the side that is causing trouble and then give it a short blast. Edit: Servisol Super 10 is actually a switch cleaner, you can get a proper fader cleaner, but the servisol is all I have at home and it's always worked, so didn't see any point buying a separate cleaner.

How about a contact cleaner can i use that cuz i have the same problem with the crossfader and the left fader for the volume on deck A😢

Hi Bro, I have the same problem plus the left fader is completely gone! I tried to watch your video about how to repair but I don't have the experience to do it. Do you know where I can find a new fader for my Numark? It's impossible to find it in Italy :(

This is a mechanical problem... both my channels do this, and I have the Mixtrack 3 Platinum... the sound disappears when you slightly touch the channel fader, same with A&B fader, having the same issue... This happened as I was overworking my faders, which in turn means, Numark is not as durable as we thought. Im bummed about this, now i have to buy a new controller.

Im have Numark PartyMix. CROSSFADER doesnt work idk why, im using crossfader for VirtualDj stay Crossfader so i have only other faders.

I've had the same problem with the right volume fader on the MT3 standard (I can still use the crossfader to work around the issue). I'm hope numark fixed the issue on their new pro and platinum FX controllers.

Been having the same issue then i had jus put some electrical oil or all purpose oil and put a drop in the crossfader and move it around then i checked it and it start working properly

I had the same problem too, just drop alcohol cleaner on the crossfader like 1 or 2 drops, slide and move the crossfader left and right, and it will work properly.

I had the same issue on the Mixtrack 3 (not pro)..I ended up buying the Mixtrack Platinum....3 months in...same issue. :( I guess now we know why they are sort of inexpensive.

Late on this one, just to let you know its most likely a dust issue. Generally, crossfaders have the issue of collecting dust in a short period of time. Over the years DJing, I've used the cheapest crossfaders to the best clubs can offer. This problem is nothing new of a bleeding or static issue on one channel. Try using an electronic cleaner, remove the cross fader knob, and then lightly spray the corners and metal piece of the fader. Also, you can use a light lubricant oil.

Any solutions to this in 2024?😅

I had this exact same issue: I'd slide across to Deck 1 and the DJ software showed it drifting back to the middle, with no issues on Deck 2. I'd had my Mixtrack Pro II for nearly a year. It looks like it's a problem with dirt getting into the slider, and messing up the signal to the computer. Literally all I did was blew hard into the slider, and that dislodged whatever crumbs or crap had got in there. It might need some compressed air to blow it out, or maybe to take the back off and get in amongst it, but all I needed was a lungful of fresh air. Hope something like that helps you.

anyone looking for a solution, here you go- unscrew the cross fader, clean it up using qtips and rubbing alcohol. worked for me.

If this happens during a gig you could still get through the gig you just have to work by the faders

I fixed it by just jamming the shit outta it and blowing into it on the side that keeps fuckin up.. idk how long this solution will work but hopefully it works for yall. Also try wiggling it up and down when you are jamming it

Crazy bro because I really had thought I was the only one who was dealing with this problem Everytime I try to fade to the right it goes all wild on my program and my volume on the right side won't turn turn down neither it's weird and I opened it up and blew in it too and still don't work

This is dust or a hair on the fader!Here is how I fixed mine!Grab a vacum cleanner and vacum the hole of the fader moving it up and down!If this doesnt work,try with a air compressor or a can of compressed air(carefull with condensation,use a piece of a cloth on the tip).If neither of those worked,grab a piece of tape,put it on the tip of piece of credit card,with the glue faced out,and pass it gently inside the fader,with fader up and fader down,hoping the tape would grab the sucker out! Once in a while is good to clean the stuff with a brush and a vacum cleanner at same time,even if the stuff usually is covered when not in use!

Yea Im having the same exact problem with mine...had the controller for about 5 mths...it does it in both serato and vdj...Its called an audio leak...there is no settings you can change that will fix that problem..spoke to a numark tech...it would be 2 to 4 weeks before i got it back...gonna try taking it to sam ash with my extended warranty see what they say
