used to work for speedy reconditioning nematics they used to gut it and replace revery internal component don't know how cost effective that is but they would then be rented out

I had one of my Numatics stop working while using it. As I was using it, it just started slowing down, it was bad brushes. Scraped the whole machine as I already have a double of it. I think I'm used to machines blowing up now! My old DC07 has extremely bad bearings and it was rattly when running. I kept using it for a while until it overheated as the motor was slowing down.

I have one of these in red from 1988, single motor however. Upon switching it on this week, smoke started coming from the handle - which turned out to be the noise suppressor. They seem to be readily available on eBay, so I'm tempted to see if a replacement will work OK. Also have a Numatic XP380 which is brilliant.

I dont bother replacing the suppressers, they are not needed for any now days so they get left out

I wish I had one of these and for fifteen quid that surpressor didn't help much hope you enjoy cleaning it up and doing your carpets with it if you got the right attatchment you could probably do the car talk soon! :)

You’ll have to wait a few weeks for a full update, but the second motor was bust.
