I've been getting really bad abdominal pains and idk why but it's gotten Me somehow closer to god now I pray everyday & read the bible speak to him on a daily basis and now I feel comfort peace and faith 🙏

Im 41 I needed to hear that I want to get closer to God and I’ve never read a bible im a single dad my 12 yr old daughter recently got a bible from her great grandmother and she encourages me to read it I needed to hear don’t take shortcuts and just go read it.

I got on my hands and knees and prayed. I said lord, I am a sinner and I have lied to you many times but lend me your strength in the ability to do a single pull up and I will read your word and become closer to you. I didn’t believe god was real. At that moment I did 5 pull ups. I’ve never even done a single one in my life. And then I cried, for I have been neglecting my lord for so long. I love you Jesus

So TRUE ! There are ZERO shortcuts with GOD! HE HAS to know you are serious IN YOUR ❤️ HEART of hearts…and HE knows whether you are or not. Also you can Pray and tell GOD if you’re having trouble making yourself get into The Word. HE will give you a hunger to read and learn from His Word like you’ve never imagined.
