I'm right there with you, I was only 5 when I lost my dad, I'm 36 now with 7 amazing children. I have 4 biologic children and 3 adopted. My dad was an amazing man and would have loved being a Papa.

I lost my brother to an overdose this year will be 2 years and I wish I could just hear his voice. My heart goes out to you too it's so hard I think of him everyday. And it's hard cause I used and he use to tell me stop doing drugs your to pretty and then he was using and I knew I felt I could of done more but then I can't beat myself up because I was there and he knew I loved him and I myself knew if you not ready you can't make someone go so I just made sure I was there to tell him I loved him and if he needed anything I would help him. And it was such a shock to me when my mom received a phone call I didn't talk with him for 2 days and it was unlike him to not call we were very close. I am so sorry about your loss.

As someone who lost so friends (left me when I was in Kindergarten), mom, had a abusing father this hit hard. My mom died when I was 4 and my dad was abusing I left him and I'm with my step family. My sister, me and my brother was young my sister was 6 months I was 4 and my brother was 8. My step brother was also 8 because my step mom twin died when I was 4 which was my mom

As someone who has also recently lost several people this hits home. In the last 10 months I have lost my husband and my nephew and my aunt and uncle and a cousin and a good friend who reminded me alot of my dad. I'm definitely feeling your pain

Oh how my heart hurts for you .....and I didn't think it was possible for my heart to feel a pain relatively close to the pain I feel losing my father on May 10,2021 also to covid so I understand exactly the emotions you feel ,always feeling like you're in a washer/dryer of emotions, confusion, & disbelief and then you realize how fast and out of nowhere this happens and then you get a glimpse at reality and the life you've known and lived is now gone and nothing will ever be the same....... And that's just the beginning of the almost daily life we go through now, right? So yes my heart now hurts knowing what you are going through and I'm SO SORRY, SO TERRIBLY SORRY that you're going through this, oh gosh.......... Even worse is that it DOESN'T get better with time and as far as I can see it gets worse. How could it not right? So I send my love and comfort your way with a heavy heart in hopes that it brings you a sigh of relief if to only briefly pause your pain as much as it helps me with moments I start to feel what no one ever should, and that's the hate. Doctor told me I was lucky and sometimes om still angry that I'm still here but when you talk of pain and loss it helps me understand and not take family or relationships for granted.
