Numi tells the true-life story of a victim Numi (Cast: Taba Yaha) and the prevalence of forced child-marriage, domestic violence and customary practice of offering bride price to bride's parents. It centers around the self-centered alcoholic father Mirpak (Cast: Rigio Takik) and Lota (Cast: Tadar Dupo), an old widower.

That part when the kids were playing and numi just sat there broke my heart, it shows how young and innocent she was yet was forced to take up bigger responsibility due to her father's immorality. Tells how sometimes children have to face the consequences of their parents’ mistakes. Shout out to all the brave queens who fought through the storm and stood up again! Great work HWP!! Literally, the best Arunachal pradesh based docu-series I've seen so far💕

Though people are having issue with the language that has been used in the docudrama, it is a fact and one has to acknowledge the wide practise of Arunachalee Hindi. This creole Language is also unique in its own way and depicts the unique richness of our heterogeneous tribal culture. While our own tribal language is being less spoken by the young generation, it is high time one should individually shoulder the responsibility of preserving, speaking and passing it on to our next generation. And this responsibility begins at home. So kudos to the team for coming up with such a grave social issue that needs to be tackled and erased from our cultural practice. I think we should not dismiss and rather be appreciative of the hindi language that's uniting our entire tribal people and really raise issues such as the one enacted in the docudrama. These are the malpractices which are legetimised by our traditions and customs, as a result of which many have become victims. Once again, great work, Himalayan Watchdog.

Doemstic violence enacted hits home. I myself being a child of domestic violence household appreciate Numis bravery and courage to come forward. There are many who are bound to such situation due to their helplessness, it really is difficult to come out of this sackle. Hope to find courage someday. It's sad though to receive such piece after a year.

Great work here waa very informative about struggles caused and faced by locals. It can be a hassle to keep track of all the laws and by laws but such content can provide ceratin awareness and insight on social dynamics in communal areas. Well done 👏
