Hurt people, hurt coins. When you see what some guy did to the coin in this video, you’ll probably agree that he needs to be tarred and feathered.
My buddy Mike shares his wisdom regarding coin collecting and a shameful practice that was common practice many years ago. Sadly, the victims of this numismatic crime are plentiful and make their way to the light of day from time to time. What can we do but learn from the mistakes of our fathers and vow to never let these atrocities take place again.

Melt??? A fantastic coin at melt value. Is exactly why Coin collecting is a dead hobby. No one willing pay anything for great coins. Stopped collecting 30 years ago , nothing has changed.

You have to sell the coins yourself to profit.

@@JaseinCaseCollectibles I have never made a profit on coins ever. I have an extensive collection. For example I have some bust half dollars like MS60 and they say they.ve been cleaned. So they set in a safe for the last forty years. along with a 1914D EF40 31S, There is no real buyers out there. They must only want proof coins, and that is really not coin collecting to me. My Coins will go to my grand children. I will not make any attempts to sell them anymore ever.

That slabbed gold Mexican peso set sounds more tempting but I bet it would be very pricy especially coming from an establishment like Harlan J Berk. You better off buying that in the secondary market.

Wow. T the Silver Stacker, you have to be really careful when buying Morgans. You could be fooled by a dealer who passes it has a $85 to $90 coin and when you re- sell it, you get only around $23. Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer be aware.

The paper notes can be protected with UV glass/plastic. I've seen these in framing studios. if you plan on having prints or scetches located in a sunny location or even if you want an extra layer of protection

I dont know if i would spend $2,500 for that uncut sheet of $2 bills with consecutive serial numbers. It seems tempting given that they are banknores from the 1920s but not a lot of people have that kind of money. I can understand if you have large disposable income and you have extra money to burn.

I'll admit it -- i was very tempted. Two dollar bills are widely believed to be lucky, so that uncut sheet would be super-lucky. It only costs a little more than an ounce of gold, LOL. But the beauty -- the history -- WOW!
