For Single or Double Chucks. Go ahead and take charge of both your forward and reverse figure eights with these awesome transitions. And as always, keep spinning :)

Got the basics of this today. I'm so happy because it's a brain twister doing two different things with each hand

I just recently moved on to double chucks. Thank you for your videos. I've learned a lot from you, Ken, and a couple other instructors. I never realized how difficult it is to do a basic figure 8 with both hands moving at the same time with a slight offset.

Although these tutorials are a bit old and dated I do appreciate the feedback that they help you still. And you are most welcome! Please let me know if you would like to see any other tutorials and I will keep them in mind when I get back around to finally keeping this channel alive.

Is the nuchucks that you use for faster movement. Are those foam chucks? or are they wood? I heard the material does make a difference?
@GabrielFord7 жыл бұрын
Daniel Murcia hello! These are homemade PVC chucks. The fitted caps on the end do increase the speed along with each handle being only 9" in length total.
@sajjadshakir93875 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielFord great bro.. i was using steel one but they make me so tired when i was trying to be fast.. then i use wooden and its too heavy though so i make pvc little heavier but not so much then wooden one .. now its very gread in speed as well as i control... i like your info you provided and your hand moves are very great..
@GabrielFord5 жыл бұрын
Sajjad Shakir I do recommend Ignite brand foam nunchaku which are very lightweight, easy on your wrist, durable, and great for all styles of nunchaku spinning.

My chucks seem to be heavy, will that effect trick training
@GabrielFord4 жыл бұрын
Ricky Johnstone not necessarily - some techniques may be a bit more risky such as tosses and cord/chain held tricks. Movements will just have to be slower and practiced more carefully as to not cause any injury. Most of my movements are suitable for lite weight nunchaku.

Just a question. Is this for self defense/martial arts or just for tricks?
@GabrielFord3 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your question. This technique is mainly for freestyle and dexterity building. My videos are for non-combative exercises. I recommend looking up “traditional” nunchaku for kata and self-defense applications; Okinawan kobudō
@rakshithkumbar20166 жыл бұрын
Can we do the same in weighty metal chucks...?
@GabrielFord6 жыл бұрын
Rakshith Kumbar yes! The speed may be a little slower so just get adjusted to the weight on the chucks and it’ll happen.
