You're absolutely right, he's letting the centripedal force do its thing while balancing the spin between the 2 points where the chain connects to each nunchuck. Also pure mastery of knowing how to quickly catch them, switch hands, and maintain momentum with serious speed and dexterity.

bruh i wished he lived at least on same continent :D but in 20days i learner a lot, from foam type and YT slomow, to infinite combo with steel ones now, confidently switching behind my backs, under and upper elbow, sideweist swap, and infinite hand snake like swap infont of your weist

So, if you're starting on this one (the thumb wheels) the first catch is a challenge. Watch seconds 0:28-0:29, you need to put a little lift at the same time you're releasing, so it helicopters a little. Otherwise it drops too fast. Your thumb is just keeping it circling. The 'throw' is what gives it the hover effect.

Imagine someone tries rob homeboy and these pop out of nowhere and just belts the dude. The silent calm martial artists are the ones who can do stuff like this. When I was a kid my mom taught kung-fu and jeet kun-do. I found her nunchuks and she took them away and proceded to do this in my kitchen. Never fk'ed around anymore, mom is a badass.😂

So for what i can see. Most of the hype behind nunchucks is how fast their moving. Not how much power or control you can have with them. If you were to use exclusively your fingers when fighting. Sure its hurt, but it would never knock unconscious.

Practice with heavy chakus and then use lighter ones one you learn the basics. Your speed will increase dramatically due to your muscle memory.
