Trent Alexander-Arnold gave the Reds the early lead but new City signing Julian Alvarez pulled one back with 20 minutes to go. It looked like it was heading for penalties before Ruben Dias handled in the box, with Salah converting the penalty and Nunez heading home in added time to confirm Klopp's first silverware of the season.

Darwin ,Carvalho and keita played really well off the bench. They are so much more direct than Hendo, Fabinho , Firmino. I think Nunez is going to score alot of goals but Carvalho will be the outbreak player

Great match, entertaining football, could have easily gone the other way. Love to see Darwin score, glad he’s building confidence. Haaland’s positioning is crazy even though the finishing wasn’t there today, he’ll be very dangerous going forward. Now on to the season!

Think the Premier League should just drop the other 18 teams an just have Liverpool Vs City every week. Not always do the top 2 teams produce great games against each other. But these 2 produce fantastic high quality games against each other again and again. Just enjoy this era why we've got it.

@@lucaferrari3456 No he wasn't the pass was just always late or they wouldn't play it at all. He made some great curving runs, Alvarez was upset also at times that they won't find his runs. City's just not used to playing with strikers now. We'll take the win though.
