On May 31 1970 the long distance scene looked all set for another race at the Nurburgring. Porsche and Ferrari were the usual candidates for wining the race with 917, 908 and Ferrari 512, but there was something more. In the 3 litre prototype class made it´s appearence the argentinian Berta LR, designed by Oreste Berta (remember the Torino at this same venue: • Nurburgring - Marathon... )
This version of the LR used for Nurburgring had a V8 Cosworth and a Hewland gearbox on a tubular space frame. The car retired on lap 5 with mechanical problems.
I´ll drive the same car, but "unfortunatelly" the engine will be the six in line Tornado with 3 weber carbs, used in 1972 and 73 for the argentinian Sport Prototypes series.
