I took an MGF onto a couple of track days at a small local track and had a lot of fun but the Nurburgring is on another level. Well done for giving it a go.

Man, you‘‘ve got to get your attitude right.! There is no „racing line“ at TF. Read the terms and conditions of Nürburgring!! Slow cars on the right, indicate right and let the quicker cars pass. Like on the Autobahn. I drive a slow car myself, so I know what I‘m talking about. Stop whining.

I must respectfully disagree. My attitude is right. I signal and or give a very visible hand signal to pass to all of the faster vehicles, but many of them whiz by ridiculously close, and frankly, I don't trust their skills with their over powered vehicles as far as I could throw them. It's like skiing on a hill with a bunch of overly aggressive children. There are many talented drivers on the Ring, and many excellent vehicles, but they are not usually together at the same time. You see really good drivers overtaking much faster cars in their hot hatches or what have you, but even in this instance, any excess oil on the track, or dirt, or cold tires can result in catastrophe. If you've been on the Ring, then you know that there are frequent accidents. I think it was closed an average of 3-4 times each day I was there. That's a lot of accidents! I shouldn't have to spend so much attention making sure that overzealous, overly aggressive drivers get to keep driving over the limit while inches from my vehicle, but of course I do anyway, and sacrifice some enjoyment and the correct line, to make sure that we all stay safe. I've been driving on the track longer than lots of these people have been alive. Here's a link to my lap of Monticello NY in the Lexus RCF.
