Nursery worker found GUILTY of manslaughter of baby girl

A nursery worker from Stockport, Greater Manchester, who swaddled a baby girl and strapped her face down on a bean bag before ignoring her cries for an-hour-and-a-half has been found guilty of manslaughter.
Kate Roughley, 37, showed ‘hostility’ towards nine-month-old Genevieve Meehan, who was in her care at Tiny Toes Nursery in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, in the days leading up to her death.

Poor girl. May the baby rest in peace. What heartache the mother and father must be going through. This is why I could never give my toddler to pre nursery, I'm scared of the treatment and negligence like this

The care she provided no different to others..parents that used that facility ought to consider legal action against the provider as every employer and business has an clear duty of care and that woman should never have been anywhere near children never mind in an position of child care employment...

it's a bad idea to let the state look after us - nothing good will come of it, whether it's care homes for the old or nurseries for the young, minimum wage strangers don't and can't care about you . at all.

We were looking at nurseries in the Cheadle area ,stopped looking now straight to school for our granddaughter, didn't like the look of any ,14 years a joke ,throw the key away .

Heart breaking . Obsoluntly heart breaking . Where were other team members ? Why did they not intervene. Red flags when she makes extreme abusive comments about this baby. No even reported.

She was sentenced to 14 years in prison, but will be eligible for release after serving 9 years, and 4 months in custody. 🙄

I, care not one jot what it sounds like or what others think or say. I, did not know you baby girl but will never forget you, or the countless other babies and children who suffered unimaginable evil and cruelty at the hands of those who are supposed to care for vulnerable souls and are supposed to know better. I, have suffered severe / extreme experiences in my life, yet never shed one tear for myself. I, shed tears for those who deserve them. No you can't. You can never judge a person on face or appearance. People often assume things about me because my face is unusual, i get people speaking down to me and worse but they soon realise their mistakes
