★ practically all videos by New Grad Nursing Interview Coach - her videos are literally the holy grail to preparing for nursing interviews, i found watching her practice interviews with students extremely helpful. Had I been asked any clinical scenario questions, her “How to Answer ANY Clincial Scenario Question” would have helped me a ton - (youtube.com/@newgradnursingin...)
★ research reddit, indeed, and glassdoor for interview reviews and questions from the hospital you are applying to (if possible). if you can’t find anything on that exact hosptial, then resort to information on the position you are applying for (ex. ICU nurse interview questions, pediatric nurse interview questions, etc…)
★ reflect on your clinical experiences and brainstorm multiple example scenarios that you can use to answer questions. common questions that interviewers will want experience examples in your answer would be “explain a time you made a mistake and how to recovered from it?” or “can you explain a time you had a difficult patient and how did you manage it?
★ practice your answers outloud!!! - this really helps with creating concise, informative answers and helps reduce filler words
