🌸 💙💙💙 Those kids who grew up during the depression with little to nothing didn't throw anything away. And they raised us, their kids, to love the treasures. And our kids don't want any of our 'junk'.

I've known older guys who would constantly buy old stuff at auction sales and haul it home to store. Even putting up buildings for storage. I believe they felt they were the caretakers for things from their time. It's like if they didn't rescue the stuff it would be gone forever. I kind of see their point yet, sad that they became hoarders.

Those yellow balls on a magnet stick are to help you line up a trailer to the receiving hitch on your automobile. I forget what their called. They work good, I have a pair.

You are on a huge roll lately. I'm so happy for you. I know he NH said he couldn't bring his stuff, but they would probably allow a few special things, like the WWII scrap and photo books, and maybe the well-loved plush animal. I'm sure these are very special to him and he'd love to have them. Can you find out where he is?

That acorn is called a plumb boom. Origin from early Egyptian times or earlier. It measures a true line from vertical to level. Hence the term plumb line.

Well, I sometimes wonder who I'm bidding against. Got my last big cat haul at an auction somewhat near Lancaster. Have a whole shelf full of just Tigger. Some of the life size cat statues cost a fortune to ship from out of state so I'm looking forward to what they find.
