Thank you so much for this video! I just converted one of my plants to LECA and I was freaking out about the nutrients because it seemed so complicated. But you explained everything really well! I just ordered the nutrients today :D

What is the bloom boost and would you mix it with the other fertilizers if you had a plant with blooms? Hi I just started my channel and planning on uploading a video explaining my method for my hydroponics plants. I am using the fertilizer you are using.

Hi! New Subscriber here. Love your videos. 3 HOUR LATER.... That’s Me! I have recently begun to convert my plants to hydro. Do you know if you can do this with outdoor plants as well? I live in South Florida and have a LOT of plants in my screened in patio. So far, I have just converted my indoor plants. The ones that I did from outside, I brought inside. I’m looking forward to being able to go away for more than 3 days and not worry about my plants.

How high up around the stem do you place the Leca balls?, not sure whether they should be covering the crown etc. Cheers.

Luke McNiven high enough where the plant is supported. Sometimes it needs more than. Usual!

after 3 to 5 days my nutrient level drops and i need to top it up..do i top it with nutrient mix or just water ?

I'm pretty sure for semi-hydro you need to use nutrients every time you water, as LECA does not have the nutrients that soil does.

I’m not an expert so don’t quote me on it but you might want to check if your plant needs a bigger pot if it drinks water so quickly.

Do the roots need to be completely submerged in the water/ fertilized water?

Mya Taylor hello! Thanks for the question! I make sure they do not touch if it’s a new transition. (Leca, then roots then the rest of Leca, not having the water touch the roots) The water roots will grow out into the bottom where the water is at, and that’s totally okay.

ashxkillz hi, thank you for responding. How about if my pothos and my spider plants are propagating in water already and I want to transition them to hydroponics?🤓

@@myataylor4807 Hello! if already used to water then its a easy transition! just throw them in there! also you can start adding nutrients already as well! No need to check on the roots since they are used to water as it is! Hope this helps!

ashxkillz thank you, however I’m wondering since there pothos if I can let them dry out or keep them topped off?

@@myataylor4807 I try not to let them dry out too long in between, but since i don't always keep an eye on them i think my Brazil goes dry for 3-4 days before i realize it needs water, and does fine!
