Hello friends! Testing the new Pro Scene feature on the Nux MG-30 V5.0.2 firmware. This gives us a lot of freedom to customize our scenes by using different effects, preamps and cabinets in the same patch. I used three different amps. :) ...and if we are using the same delay in all three scenes, even if it is OFF in one or two scenes, the delay tail from the previous scene continues to sound when we change scenes. It's great!

Awesome Sir! Something i hope they could also add to the v5 fw, is to be able to record audio via usb into a phone camera, along with the drum machine on,it is possible to do so only if you connect first to a pc and select looper and save, but each time you switch off the mg30, it's gone, you have to start over. I don't know if you have contacts with Nux, but if they can fix that permanently, this modeler would be just perfect. Thanks a lot for your great sounds 👍

Thanks! I recorded the Mg400 loop by connecting it to an interface. Outputs from the Mg400 directly to the interface inputs. So I recorded drums and the loop. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/btWKhsZ4psy3has.html

@@DirectRecordingGuitar Você conseguiu fazer funcionar o pedal de expressão pra utilizar aumentando um rate de uma modulação, por exemplo? Outra coisa, é possível desativar somente o volume do pedal? Não lembro se era assim antes da atualização.

Cara, eu nunca usei o pedal de expressão de nenhuma das minhas pedaleiras pra esse tipo de controle. Não faz parte do meu play saca? Aí não testei na MG30 e nunca nem fiz patches assim haha Só uso pra vol, wah ou whammy no máximo haha Pra você ter noção, o canal tem mais de 500 vídeos e eu sei de imediato o único vídeo que usei pedal de expressão de forma diferente que o habitual. Neste vídeo usei pra diminuir e aumentar o nível de drive do preset haha kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jcifab2qxr7JmGw.html e só! :) Acho que não dá pra desativar o pedal de volume pelos meios comuns indo lá e dando um OFF mas se você for ícone de Vol que temos na cadeia de sinal e colocar o Min em 100 e o Max também em 100 aí talvez dê um "OFF" forçado no pedal de volume. Digo talvez porque nunca fiz isso mas pela lógica talvez funcione. :) Depois eu vou ver isso, fiquei curioso. Abração cara.

@@DirectRecordingGuitar boa! Fiz alguns testes, mas temos que considerar que pode ter um bug pra correção ainda. Quanto ao volume na cadeia, o maximo do mínimo vai até 50. Desativando ele na cadeia, volta ao padrão 0 100. Vou fazer mais alguns testes tbm. Obrigado pelas respostas. Grande abraço!

@@didoguanais É, só vai até 50. Vi isso hoje. E se desligar na cadeia ele continua funcionando como volume. A única forma que encontrei do pedal de expressão "não funcionar" é se colocar o MIN: 50 e o MAX:51. O volume do preset dá uma diminuída sem alterar o timbre. Então dá pra repor o volume do preset apertando e segurando o knob 1, aí é só salvar. :)

Hola, así es bro. Afortunadamente, dejé todas las configuraciones de los patches en los videos. Entonces, se pueden copiar manualmente y guardar en tu MG30 v5.0.1. Já existia a opção de manter somente duas cenas, mas somente usando o ctrl. Com a atualização você pode usar NMP2 pra subir e descer as cenas. Espero ter ajudado.

Ciao, ho fatto questo test per te adesso perché sto usando FW v5.0.1 Beta da meno di 24 ore e sto ancora vedendo come funziona. Quindi, se utilizziamo gli IR nativi dell'MG30, la risposta è sì. Possiamo avere un preamp + IR nativo nella scena 1, quindi possiamo spegnere i preamps della chitarra elettrica e utilizzare uno degli IR acustici nativi dell'MG30 nella scena 2 e avere un altro preset nella scena 3 che è completamente diverso dai due precedenti. Non è possibile cambiare l'IR tra le scene se utilizziamo IR di terze parti, è possibile solo con IR nativi di MG.

@@DirectRecordingGuitar grazie io intendevo una cosa diversa. Io sto aspettando il corriere col mio Nux, al momento non ce l’ho e quindi non lo so usare. Nella mia band suono con una chitarra acustica collegata a due amplificatori, uno per acustica e l’altro per elettrica con un pedale overdrive. Mi serve per rinforzare l’acustica nei ritornelli. Volevo sapere se nella stessa scena, contemporaneamente posso suonare sui due canali stereo due amplificatori uno elettrico e l’altro o acustico (quando suono con l’acustica) o con il simulatore di acustica (quando suono con l’elettrica). No, non è mai stato possibile utilizzare due amplificatori in parallelo nello stesso preset (o scena) sull'MG-30. Solo uno alla volta.

Hi, in v5.0.0 Beta firmware there was a cut in the delay tail. Now they resolved this in v5.0.1 Beta if we are using the same delay between scenes, even when it is OFF the delay tail from the previous scene continues to sound. This new FW is still in Beta. They should be finalized and made available soon.

Fala cara. Eu não sei a resposta. Mas deve estar bem próximo pois liberaram a versão 5.0.0 beta no grupo oficial no FB mas teve alguns bugs principalmente no pedal de expressão, dois ou três dias depois liberaram a 5.0.1 beta para quem quisesse testar. Nesta última os bugs foram corrigidos então devem estar refinando ainda mais para liberar a versão oficial.

Olá, note que eu usei 3 amps diferentes no mesmo patch. Além disso usei 3 cabs diferentes e todos os efeitos na cadeia as 3 cenas são diferentes, até os que estão off. :) Mas podemos também usar os mesmos efeitos com regulagens diferentes. Por exemplo, podemos usar um TS9 com o drive em 9h na cena 1 e usar o mesmo TS9 com o drive em 100% na cena 2 e o mesmo se aplica a todos os outros efeitos, amps e cabs. Além disso, podemos usar o footswitch externo NMP2 como UP/Down para subir e descer as cenas. Se estivermos na cena 2 podemos voltar para a 1 sem ter que passar pela 3 como era antes.

Não mudava :) até a v4.0.3 que foi a anterior, só ligava/desligava efeitos que já estavam na cadeia de sinal. Agora podemos usar os mesmos efeitos e amps com regulagens diferentes ou até mudar tudo de uma cena para a outra como fiz no vídeo.

Como sempre, vídeo bacana da MG-30, porém vou aguardar mais um pouco para ver se ajustam a instabilidade que estão comentando. Som do Soldano parece ter ficado legal agora, não sei se era impressão minha ou se modificaram alguma coisa, mas não achava timbre com ele na MG-30.

Sim, lançaram no site a v5.0.0 mas a turma identificou um monte de bugs. Na minha houve apenas mal funcionamento no pedal de expressão. Então retiraram do site e soltaram a v5.0.1 beta no grupo da MG30 oficial deles no FB para quem quisesse testar e relatar a experiência. Nesta última versão não há bugs na minha, está tudo ok. Desde então não houve mais reclamações no grupo. Então acredito que devem estar refinando-a ainda mais e a versão oficial deve estar próximo de ser liberado no site.

Isso mesmo! :) Novo firmware. Mas ainda está na versão beta. Antes as cenas podiam apenas ligar/desligar os efeitos que já estavam no preset. Ex: Cena 1: clean tone / Cena 2: ligava o TS9 + Reverb mantendo o mesmo amp, cab / Cena 3: Desliga o TS9, liga um distortion, delay e reverb mantendo o mesmo amp. Agora podemos trocar tudo entre uma cena e outra como fiz no vídeo até mesmo o Cab se estivermos usando IRs nativos da MG30. Observe que eu troquei até mesmo os efeitos que estão OFF como modo de demonstração. Mas também podemos manter os mesmos efeitos e amps porém regulados de forma completamente diferentes. Além disso agora podemos ajustar o footswitch externo com Up/Down para subir e descer as cenas livremente. Antes, se estivéssemos na cena 2 teríamos que passar pela 3 pra voltar para a cena 1.Está sendo um grande salto no modo operacional do equipamento. 👊🔥🎸

Fala Igor, na minha está tudo ok com exceção do pedal de expressão pra usar o wah e whammy. Ontem criei vários presets e até gravei trabalhos aqui no estúdio. A Nux deve resolver isso logo, logo. Sobre o Pro Scene, o exemplo que fiz no vídeo foi no extremo com a intensão de mostrar que podemos mudar tudo se quisermos mas no uso do dia a dia é um grande facilitador. Vou dar um exemplo criando um preset aqui agora. Digamos que vou tocar ao vivo, e quero usar somente um único amp o show todo como seria na vida real, o repertório pede um Fender, então escolho meu Fender Super Reverb clean na cena 01 com um Comp ligado, adiciono um T-Wah (bloco EFX) e um Chorus no bloco MOD no footswitch externo. Na cena 2 eu repito o mesmo Super Reverb porém altero a EQ dele, aumento um pouco o volume e coloco o ganho rompendo o clean, entrando no crunch e ligo um dos reverbs, mantenho o Comp ligado e o NMP2 está ligando/desligando um Morning Glory no EFX e sei lá um Rotary no MOD haha Na cena 3 posso usar o mesmo Super Reverb com outra equalização, agora delay e reverb ligados, Comp OFF, um Crunch Box, que é um Marshall in a Box, no EFX e um Phase 90 no bloco MOD bem ao estilo EVH :) ou simplesmente mudar tudo e usar logo o 5150 na cena 3 haha Tudo isso em um único preset. Cara, isso facilita a vida da gente demais principalmente em ensaios ou ao vivo. *Se usarmos o mesmo delay, a calda não é cortada quando mudamos entre as cenas a não ser que em uma das cenas ele esteja OFF. É um detalhe que se a turma pedir, a Nux poderá ajustar se quiser. :)

@@piotrgpt-4178 Hey my friend, everything's fine on my end except for the expression pedal to use the wah and whammy. Yesterday, I created several presets and even recorded some work here in the studio. Nux should fix that soon. Regarding the Pro Scene, the example I showed in the video was extreme to demonstrate that we can change everything if we want to, but in everyday use, it's a great facilitator. Let me give you an example by creating a preset here now. Let's say I'm going to play live, and I want to use only one amp for the whole show as it would be in real life. The repertoire calls for a Fender, so I choose my Fender Super Reverb clean in scene 01 with a Comp ON, add a T-Wah (EFX block), and a Chorus in the MOD block on the external footswitch. In scene 2, I repeat the same Super Reverb but adjust its EQ, increase the volume a bit, add some gain breaking the clean, going into crunch, and turn on one of the reverbs. I keep the Comp ON, and the NMP2 is toggling a Morning Glory in the EFX and maybe a Rotary in the MOD block haha. In scene 3, I can use the same Super Reverb with another EQ, now with delay and reverb ON, Comp OFF, a Crunch Box (Marshall in a Box) in the EFX, and a Phase 90 in the MOD block, all in the EVH style :) or just I change everything and use the 5150 in scene 3 haha. All of this in a single preset. Man, this makes our lives so much easier, especially in rehearsals or live performances. *If we use the same delay, the tail isn't cut off when switching between scenes unless it's OFF in one of the scenes. It's a detail that Nux could adjust if the folks ask for it.

Valeu Igor! Ainda tem mais... agora podemos usar o footswitch externo NMP2 para UP/Down nas 3 cenas. Estamos na cena 2 e podemos voltar para a 1 sem passar pela 3 como era no CTRL. :)

Fala cara, ela é ótima. É o multiFX que mais uso desde 2021. O Wah e whammy são ótimos, eu devo ter usado nos vídeos Satriani e Slash tone, funk groove. Dá uma olhada na nossa playlist da MG30. Link na descrição do vídeo. Abração! Obrigado por comentar.

Hi, now we can use 3 amps and completely different effects in the 3 scenes of a preset. Or we can use the same effects and amps adjusted differently between scenes. Like the TS9's drive knob adjusted to 9 o'clock in one scene and 100% in the other... Now this can be done with all effects and even preamps and cabinets (if the cabs are the MG30's native ones). If using external IR it will remain the same for all 3 scenes. *Edit: The delay tail remains sounding if we use the same delay pedal set identically between scenes (even if it is OFF in some of them).

Hi, no clipping. But, in Quicktone, I lower the recording volume to -4.0. And in the video we have the settings for rehearsals and live shows.

Fala Juliano, pô cara... eu ainda não me sinto confortável pra confirmar isso ou não com toda certeza. Só com mais tempo pra ir comparando com antigas gravações. Mas uma coisa eu tenho que dizer, esse amp Soldano na MG30 nunca me chamou a atenção, nunca fiz vídeo... sempre passava por ele, dava uma olhada e ia embora. Hoje, como sempre, eu passei por ele e tava esse som aí do vídeo... acho que cortei um pouco de agudo do gabinete e já ficou um timbre tocável. Dá pra melhorar né? Mas já ficou tocável e nunca tinha rolado isso. É que a ideia do vídeo foi mais pra demonstrar o Pro Scene aí não trabalhei em quase nada os timbres, só uma enxugada rápida mesmo e pronto :) Mas acho que vou ter que fazer uma playlist nova só pro V5 porque esses patches não vão funcionar nas versões antigas.

Unfortunately not, man! In previous versions, we couldn't use 3 different amps and IRs, or different effects and settings in the same patch just changing the scenes. It is worth noting that some people are reporting problems with this new version in the official MG30 FB group. But on my MG30, only the expression pedal is not working as it should with Wah and Whammy. Everything else is ok. I believe Nux will get everything right soon.

The reason why the exp pedal is not working properly may be because the processors are not yet optimized. because according to my reviews, processors consume more processing power after the new update.

Hi, noise reduction has always worked well for me on all MGs. I've never had any issues. I always place it at the beginning of the chain, after the wah.

¡No! Son tal cual vienen de fábrica. No lo he cambiado en más de un año. Antes hacía un pequeño recorte en el High del Global EQ, pero dejé de hacer estos recortes en la 4.0.3.
