Ultimate Ninja 5 is a lot more cinematic than I remember. It makes them look better.

I was playing it yesterday and damn! The ultimates here are on a whole different level. Hashirama's second ultimate is the definition of overkill lol.

Ultimate Ninja 5 has: - Better sound effects. I despise the cartoony sounding shit ever since Storm 2. - Actual command inputs over ultimates. - Better ultimate attacks. Not only more impactful but also realistic, like the case with Sasori and Deidara's team ultimate jutsu. - Better music. - More accurate character fighting skills. Tsunade and Sakura really hits hard in this game. As an extra note, nice to see you also include UN4 Tailed Naruto as well.

Sadly ps2 ultimates where 1000x more better than ps4 games nothing will top the ults in the ps2 series

I keep wondering how Ultimate Ninja 5 would look like if the game was re-released these days. I bet it would be way better than the whole Storm series. Storm's ultimates are so short and flat that I prefer to play just using combos while the ones in Ultimate Ninja 5 are masterpieces and I NEVER get tired of watching them. Edit: What I loved the most about the Ultimate Ninja 5 ultimates is that for each character there is a whole different ambience and soundtrack, which makes them incredibly unique.

It's interesting how a lot of people came here hating "new ps5 jutsus" when in reality most of these are reused ones from way back in the 2nd storm, when the game was oriented for "online purposes" and made these animations short as hell, and in Generations even the returning ones from Storm 1 (which were way longer and more epic) were cut to be short as hell too, and they never returned/made longer versions of these old jutsus ever since. While it's still a definitive comparison between the same, older ultimate jutsus, it's kinda not so fair to say "ps5/ps4 jutsus are worse than ps2" because we have a lot of team ultimates, madara's, obito's, newest Sasuke and Naruto's, Hanabi's, Sound 4, hell even Boruto's, Sarada's and Ootsutsuki (and I don't like new Boruto anime any single bit) that are on the same level if not better than PS2's hands down. I'm not even gonna talk about the Akatsuki Team one.

So many characters (chiyo, jiraiya, tsunade, orochimaru, etc) really deserved so much better ultimates in the storm games cus of how good theirs were in UN. Also young choji in storm should’ve had butterfly ult & awakening. I also wish we could play in certain awakened forms (like curse marks) in storm 🥺

Ahhhh good ol OG ultimate ninja remember playing this game and thinking its better than the Con series jus because we never had the us version of con3 and 4 at the time but man looking back the ultimate series was the Best l with the cinematics now a days no game come even close to making it look this good actually let u jus sit back and appreciate the cutscenes in between special techniques which gave you that feel of like your watching it on tv or something 😅 but if we can get a remake that would be dope!

So they used in UN5 lots of the original sound samples from the anime, also the characters naming their attacks instead of "iksoo". The cinematic.. at least versus all the storm 2 ultimates which are trash. Even the ultimate background music gives lot of anime vibes and nostalgia which storm didnt manage to reproduce. They should re do all storm 2 characters as a DLC, instead of new characters from boruto and stuff, I feel like the best seasons of shippuden are nor properly represented in storm games.

Ultimate ninja series is superior IMO, it’s 2D, there is actual command inputs, the taunts they had were similar to tilts in storm, a lot of great hidden details like storm, the game and series was just amazing and wish they brought it back.

The 2d games, the ultimate ninja hero competitive scene is just more brutal and unforgiving. I'd rather watch matches on players like Rockman, FAB, Xraded or Brazilian monsters like Marcus teru, Sloan endo, OmegaZX etc than the goofy ones on storm

The essence, ambience, music, and overall excecution of the ultimate jutsus in UN5 can't be surpassed lol, Storm series overall pale in comparison, the only thing they have over old saga is graphics, and a more complete character roster.

Call me nostalgic but I prefer Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5, for the simple fact that the justus are more impressive and give you the feeling that they are very powerful, sure, some of the Storm Connections jutsus look better, I admit it, but they are done so fast that in my opinion I don't feel that they are enjoyed as much as in 5

The fact side characters still have the same ultimate jutsu since storm 2 and they couldnt even bother giving them new ones, just shows how much of a cash grab the storm series has become. Connections is like the ultimate ass of all storm games.

Not only are most of the Ultimate Jutsu's better in Ultimate Ninja 5 than in Storm Connections, but these are most level 1 UJ's, all these characters have 2 more than are, in most cases, even better than we are shown. I'm just pointing this out, I understand fully this is just a comparison of the ones that are most similar. Moded UN5 is absolutely a baller game. I do love Storm, especially Storm 1 and 4 and I even like more the Storm fighting style, but UN5 is a better game overall. Better story mode, better attention to detail, betters jutsu's and ultimate jutsu's, better music, better story mode, better sound effects. I really miss the Storm 1 story mode. That combined with the open world of UN5 would be peak, but we all know Bandai Namco is greedy and we will never get a perfect Naruto game.

I think people in the comment section need to understand because of online gameplay the ultimates have to be faster etc. No one is trying is sit through a 30 sec cutscene because ultimate ninja 5 wasn't an online game they could take their time with the ultimates. Also tbh while the ultimate ninja 5 ultimates are better most of them are unrealistic Edit: for example here 4:21 when tf has temari made so much wind in the show lol

storm 2 ultimates literally lasts 2 seconds because they had to adapt the combat to "common" online games like street fighter mortal kombat , where attack to not interfiere with online are inmediate in 1 second or two with punches and animation that last 3 seconds . Sad

i may be the only person who preffer simple and not flashy ultimate attacks, they are ninjas not goku, no need to nuke the whole world to do 20% of damage, of course in the final saga naruto becames dragon ball but thats another topic, i like the early seasons were jutsus were actuall special attacks, not normal punches. but i agree ultimate ninja 2 ultimate jutsus are lame
