Considering the level gap, Jaiden also got really unlucky with Fly not 1-shotting Hitmontop and losing Charazard to a counter. That had to be a low roll.

14:17 I feel like that would have been really bad for jaiden though because by their rules she would have to swap her empoleon for a swallot which is not a good swap on my opinion

Jan did react to this too (name pronounced "Yan" German name, he pointed that out in his reaction to this) He did not expect to be in Jaiden's vid. That made him so Happy. Blowing up from reacting to Jaiden's 1st Nuzlocke vid to now Get Animated in her vid while also being told she watched your vids & liked them ... Thats some Next level shit

11:23 Kingdra is part water type which negates the dragon type’s Ice type weakness so it only weak to Dragon types here since Fairy doesn’t exist yet.

The two grass types count the primary types. Jacob would not get his Torterra instead of the Weepinbell.

I have seen this brought up a decent lot, and I am willing to write off the 'hardcore nuzlocke' comments as jokes that just didn't land for me, but why the need to comment multiple times on how Jaiden is not the best nuzlocker? Of course she's not, she's a casual with decent knowledge in the game's mechanics, not Pokemon Challenges 2.0. Nobody thinks she or Alpha for that matter are pros. They are playing for fun.

Weepingbell torterra was grass pair, abomasnow first type is ice. So jaiden a mewtwo would mean bye torterra so tbats why before torterra died they boxed mewtwo and weepingbell

Understandable but I feel like personally I'd still rather have mewtwo victrebel than Tottera primeape if you have access to a grass stone. Mewtwo just outshines that other pair so hard. If it left alpha with just a weepingbell as they had no access to grass stone yet then its more understandable but I believe they did at this point

Yeah not using Kyogre is their biggest missed opportunity here. Thunder that always hits and stab water moves in rain on a fast high special attacker. What a pokemon

@@killjoy7346 Empoleon was one of the strongest mons Jaiden had for the longest time and you'd replace it with a Swalot? Alpha with his dumb luck didn't need Kyogre anyway. Seriously though, Empoleon/Ampharos is better than Swalot/Kyogre, especially since introducing Swalot to Jaiden's final team would mean she has three mons weak to ground with only one answer which is neutral to ground.

To be fair, half the situations she managed to scrape through by being a pretty solid player, would have been run killers with hardcore rules. Like the double omniboosted, snow cloaked Froslass, or the Azumaril.

This was taken from a livestream so the random pauses are when I talk to chat and it's been cut from the video due to being unrelated or I don't really make a point or say anything important 😅

with the ruleset it only counts for the primary type, that means that Torterra as a grass and ground type only counted as grass, and Abomasnow as an ice and grass type only counted as ice.
