When this came out I bought the $199 pro model. It is starting to take its time to "warm up" and I have to reboot it everytime now. I still love the thing and will buy the next one when available.

Yeah, I emphasize with you on that. I try to keep it cleaned out so dust won't build up inside. It's a setting in the settings area of the shield where you can speed your fan up to keep it cooler. It might come at the expense of a little noise however.

Hello, you don't need it to have a good experience with your entertainment as far as movies, etc. However, if you want to take the video quality and more to the next level, especially once it enters into the 4k(UHD) HDR class, then that where the Nvidia Shield comes in and is extremely impressive . thanks for watching!

The Nvidia Shield as you see in the video is better, because of what's under the hood. But you don't need it as the firestick 4k still outsells it, because it support many formats as well at a much affordable price. Thanks for watching!

The Nvidia Shield is the best streaming device hands down. You are entitled to your opinion. GeForce now, Plex Server Support, AI Upscaling, Better Processor, More onboard Storage, the ability to add storage, memory profile, I can keep going. If you have a Walmart HDTV, then you aren't going to get the experience of what AI Upscaling is. That's for people who have top or mid end OLED Tv's , and QD-OLED TV'S. The Shield is still the top. Now, for a budget device that many will get that can't afford the shield then the Firestick is a good choice. Perhaps, you fall in that category. Which is fine. I have a few on my TVs in my man cave.
