Kanu is a retired Nigerian footballer who played as a forward. He was a member of the Nigerian national team. Kanu played for Nigerian team Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth. Kanu has won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners Medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others. He is also one of few players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal. He is regarded as one of the best players in African football history

A man that tall and slender but with ‘glued to the foot’ ball control. And even more amazing he can round the GK in very tight angle. If it’s Messi or Maradona it would’ve been normal but Kanu is just unbelievable.

His close ball control was one of the best. He could make defenders and keepers look like fools. My favourite goal was the back heel against Middlesbrough.

I wish his heart issue didn't take a toll on him as years came by. He had no choice than to decrease his work rate. At times you see him gasping for air yet his manoeuvres were mesmerising. He actually wanted to disrespect Peter Schmeichel...he wasn't lucky

Kanu could play much after he undergo a heart surgery,he doesn’t need to strain himself anymore so he had to always come as super sub even for the Nigeria national team and arsenal

Kanu was among the best at it and I'm hesitant to admit it but nobody's on R9's level.

kay valdo Of course. It’s just my observation, R9 doing it the best way possible after bulldozing defenders, Kanu did it the most efficient way by barely moving his legs. No one can argue against a player who was absent for almost 2 complete seasons and then scored 8 goals in a World Cup.

Rounding Goalies is Kanu's super power. I can comfortably say he is better than R9 in rounding goalies considering the effortlessness at it. No doubt R9 is a far better plaÿer than Kanu. It takes more than rounding goalies to be World Class. But we've got to give this one to Kanu
