NX Feature Templates: Using Points and Hole Features [NX 2206]

Жыл бұрынI've had some good questions about how best to use points to locate Feature Templates based on a Hole feature. This video goes through some principles around referencing "Direct Parents" versus "Intermediate Parents", and shows how to use "Intermediate Parents" to redefine the target point (or points!) for more flexible placement. Hi Taylor, Thank you very much for your videos! They are really useful to understand how to use this feature properly. I would like to create a custom feature in nx that would allow me to set the pre-drill length for the drill depending on the thread size I want to create. Is it possible to add a list of thread size choices in the form that would allow users to change the thread size? Thank you so much!

Definitely! Sounds like a great application for using a Parameter Table to capture those standard configurations. Great question!

You certainly could! You might also explore using our out-of-the-box product Mold Wizard to do this. :-)
