Күн бұрынAndrew Cuomo was a rising star in the Democratic Party, mentored by Bill Clinton, and married to a Kennedy. But as governor of New York, his popularity dropped after news broke of alleged COVID cover-ups and sexual harassment accusations, which he has since denied.
On Tuesday, August 10, Cuomo announced he would resign in 14 days. The governor's decision to step down comes after independent investigators for the state's attorney general office found that he sexually harassed multiple female members of his staff.

I know someone in New York who kept praising him around May of last year. I actually wasn’t even critical of him at the time, I just said I didn’t think you could look at New York’s numbers and say “This is a good job” objectively. That didn’t mean I was blaming him. New York is a dense state, there’s a lot of international travelers. There’s many reasons why they could be hit harder than other states and I wouldn’t throw that blame on 1 person. This person I know started arguing with me and saying how wrong I was, when all I was really doing was pointing out that he hadn’t done a good job by any measure. Of course I haven’t even brought up the topic again in 2021 where we now know even more about what he did and what an awful person he might be. Was hoping I’d get an apology but of course not lol

@@A11ucard I follow a guy on KZfaq that have made many travel videos, now he had 5-6 episodes where he reported from the US-Mexican border and tried to give a wide insight to the migrant problem down there. Was super interesting as an independent journalist, think his name is Peter Santenello. He also did a great series of getting into the Orthodox Jews in New York. We need journalists with an open mind with no special agenda or political narrative. Report from the scene and let us form our own opinions.

New York had overall, stricter restrictions which damaged the economy and ppl's lively hood more than many other places. AND, NY did pretty bad on getting it under control. Even till this day. Now we're still seeing more cases in a week than the average daily increase during the peak at the end of last year... And NY was one of the last spots (only better than MI, and on par with FL despite much stricter protocols) to finally 'cool down' on COVID after the massive vaccine drive recently... I mean look at the curve of CA or TX... Or even FL, they didn't do much better on COVID but at least their economy wasn't closely as hit...

With these stats alone he shouldn’t even be able to govern another day. The Empire Center says New York State has lost 1.4 million residents since 2010. And the U.S. Census Bureau says an additional 126,000 have left between 2019 and 2020. Those leaving say it is because of the cost of living, poor job growth, increased crime due to bail reform, and the biggest reason of all, taxes.

these kids should have kept there parents at home Not at Nursing homes like most other country keep ageing parents at their homes so some blame should go on the familys as well
