I don’t believe these trade rumors on Randle. It does not make sense. Brunson alone cannot carry the offense to get the Knicks past a healthy and reloaded 76ers, or Celtics. Leon Rose and Co tearing up the team they’ve meticulously put together doesn’t add up.

Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, I would prefer the Knicks to trade Robinson, McBride, Achiuwa, Sims, Toppin and/or picks to try to bring a scoring center (I don't care if it's CAT) and another cheap one (e.g. Kassler) to be backup than to trade Randle. And regarding the injury problem, I think that all starters (specially Randle and Anunoby) should have their minutes greatly reduced throughout the regular season to minimize the chance of them being left out of the playoffs.

@@rafaelverdejo1035 I mentioned 2 players, not only one. And I used "AND/OR" - the AND or the OR will depend on who is gonna arrive. What really matters is not the quantity, but how much each player costs. Of course, this would impact the team's depth, but there is a way to cover these absences with rotation or with one or two of the newcomers. It would be a small sacrifice to have a stronger starting team and still have some quality reserves. Best regards

K, Randle gives us a another true player that can demand a double-team. With all the pieces we have it should take the pressure off him to allow him to perform in the playoffs. He was the start of the revitalization of the Knicks. It would kinda suck to not see it through with him at least half the next season. they were 11-1 when the team was healthy with randle and the rest. I think its only right to give this team a chance with randle. And that game we lost is the mavs had a crazy shooting night, down 20 in the fourth got it to 1, couldnt get a rebound and they hit a 3.

JR is not going anywhere. Dolan loves Him , Rose appreciates Him. If He does like you said MG it’s on Him. He can’t expect OG money. Why? Age. The Knicks rightfully will try and lock Brunson, Randle up to go with OG. By adding a low Contact like Kessler of even Duran. They can keep the same squad for 3 yrs. We have excellent defensive players and offensive players. We will be in the finals this Season.

I do not want to trade Randle. I think the team currently is a productive Center away from a lock for the finals! Try to sign him but if we can’t sign him to a reasonable contract, trade him. After seeing what Jalen did with his extension, we need Julius to follow that lead.

Like Julius or not, fact of the matter is he does things that no one else in the team can do should they trade him. And I don't think they will be getting someone who can play the way he does where he's good at. And that is the low-post game. In the era of 3-point shooters, Julius's game reminds us that the low-post game is still important, and in fact, would complement the outside game. He's enough of a threat at the post that he will give his defender serious problems or force a double on him, which would free up either the shooters or the center. Mikal, as good as he is, can't play the shaded area the way and with the power Julius does. OG, as good as he is, does a whole lot better(and will probably stay healthier) with someone who can attract the defense's attention away from him. Julius reminds me of LJ(Larry Johnson), but with more athleticism and longer shooting range. I agree with one of the comments here. Give this new line-up a year, see how the chemistry goes; give this new line-up a good chance and enough time to come together. Maybe this is now what Julius needs to be able play like the way he did in the 20-21 season; other guys who can seriously share the load and the pressure with him. I say, give Julius one more year. That 2020-2021 season Julius is still there; just needs help to bring it out again.
