@@MadMax-ut2wc I would actually say that her attitude is ANTI-liberal, as most of us come by our liberal beliefs because of our deep empathy and compassion for other people (hence believing that everybody should be respected and equal to everyone else); if you don't understand that, I would have to assume you don't actually know what it means to be liberal. Maybe she is just too young and hasn't actually experienced life loss yet. It'll come eventually; it always does. Then she will either grow to become more loving and compassionate, or she will become bitter and resentful. I think he will be a positive influence on her to achieve the former. The last thing we need in the world is more anger and hate. (That's my liberal beliefs talking; sorry.)

I'm Puerto Rican from the south Bronx and never heard country until I moved upstate back in 93. This was the first country song I ever heard and i automatically fell in love with 90's country. I dont see the humor in this song. But to each their own.

I wont lie this was the first time i heard anyone laugh at this song. This song hits different for me. I am the baby of the family and only girl. My heart stopped and my dad got a call saying they needed him at the hospital when i was giving birth to my oldest and this is the song that played as soon as he got in his truck and he kept praying to take his baby girl. So now that he passed away every time i hear this song random is like his way of saying hi to me.

Just fpund ypur channel tonight i was grew up in queens ny and i mever listened to countrh music until i moved to Texas this song was the first song i heard that was country and i grew to love country music i love how country music tells a story and this song really gives me chills listening to it... hope you give country music a chance you may end up liking it...

The end, even though the words are the same as the beginning, is about Johnny, his son, and the mother is there as well. The Johnny from the beginning is 31 years old now with an 8 year old son. The mother lived. That’s just my interpretation of the end of the video

What does she like? Rap where you have to ask, what is it about! Show her some Home Free!! No instruments, just a beatboxer. They do country, like My Church, Ring Of Fire, Folsom Blues, Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys. American Pie with Don McClean and Don't Laugh at Me ft Mark Wills. Just don't do Mayday until you know them well. Butts Medley is really good and they throw in some Rap. The cover of Boys to men I think she like.

Very interesting reaction. I've seen a ton of them to this song, and this is the first time I've ever seen someone laugh. I know this is a very small snippet and one video, but that's enough. Where is the empathy? BTW: The girl lived. That's her running towards them at the very end. The second "Johnny's Daddy" is there son reaching the same age as the beginning of the song. Good first song, she is right that country music is about the story. The mom didn't die, it was her running with the picnic basket at the end but the song in general leaves it open for interpretation. I laughed when she said "it's real country" my mind immediately went to hence why it is called country music... Keep an open mind and definitely follow the story, she will find a country song that she likes sooner or later.

When Dolly Parton sings it it's like she's singing it to you! When Whitney Houston sing it, it like she was singing to the world! Both are very good! They sing the same song but are very different!
