Governors Island is one of the best places to visit during the summer! A short ferry ride from Manhattan or Brooklyn, there are plenty of fun activities here such as visiting old military defensive structures, viewing art installations, biking, grilling, swinging in the hammocks, playing baseball or softball, glamping, visiting the spa, and attending various events.
