Thanks for the video. Just what I was looking for! I will stay in Manhattan and then take an MSC cruise from Brooklyn and I was wondering as to the best, most convenient and cheapest option. Your video explained it all.

I will be on Amtrak Penn Station in Manhatta. Should I take a cab to that ferry, or all the way to the cruise port?

You can take the subway to the ferry. The subway ride is just under $3 per person, so if you're looking for economy and don't have tons of luggage to tow about, that might be a nice option. From Penn Station, I'd recommend taking the #1 train (red line under Seventh Avenue) downtown to its end at South Ferry. If you're taking a cab, then deciding whether to take the cab part of the way vs all of the way is really a personal decision based on time and financial resources, though, honestly, the fare difference between those destinations is probably minimal.
