A new attraction in Manhattan is bringing people from two continents together. A new sculpture on the Flatiron South Public Plaza allows people in New York to connect in real time with people in Dublin, Ireland.

I was there just now.. at the Dublin side. What a nice ,beautiful positive experience. Peope where waving at each other, holding up signs , and just being funny. We need more of THIS in the world and less of the other stuff. They should put one up in every major city and switch cities automatically every 10 minutes.

I work in Dublin and I enjoy standing at this on my lunch, it seems to give people a little happiness (when it's not being hijacked by people trying to get political messages across). I would love to see this idea extended to other cities around the world

Why wouldn’t we just put on of these in every nation to join together the world. I mean I get it no audio, (which will come later) but, just have nations from all over the globe be able to step in front and say hello to whatever country they wanted to. The portal should be used to put the funny faces app and to make people feel like they are in a movie using computer programming so when they move they have to move according to how the computer program tells them to or else their faces and body will be blocked by the computer program this way you can show that your computer programs can make people like each other that is what the purpose of the portal should be it should not be about expressing opinion it should be about a computer programmer showing that their computer programming skills can make anyone friends
