Skateboard the LES Skatepark (Lower East Side Skatepark) in Chinatown / Manhattan New York City, which is known as both the BEST skatepark in NYC, but also the most intimidating, most intense, least friendly, etc. New York and the East Coast are known for having "intimidating" skaters. Really, I believe you can overcome this feeling with the right mindset, and it's definitely worth checking out LES despite the stigma (just be yourself!). This skatepark is AMAZING. I also skate 51 Skatepark in Brookyln at the beginning of the video and announce a Trophy Griptape giveaway at the end. This is SENIOR YEAR ep 23 where I document my entire senior year of college at Wesleyan University.

Loved this one George!! Tbh I understand that LES vibe. Around me there's one big epic park and a smaller chill park and everyone is way more open and down to chat at the small park. But it seems like nobody cares abt that at the big park. But it do be like that. And I'm thankful for skateboarding obviously and my friends. Sounds basic but my friends for real got my back and are there for me so shoutout to my homies🤙🤙 and I'm also thankful for George Poulos and his epic videos 🙌🍂

I've always felt way more cozy and comfortable at my small hometown skatepark than the big ones in Athens. Maybe big cities have this anonymity engraved in them so deeply that makes everyone less likely to give a shit or talk to each other. Whenever I too get myself in the mood I try to do the mental work and be open to people, it's very rewarding.

I've been to LES once but i had my cruiser on me when i rolled by. The skatepark in Brooklyn under bk bridge is awesome tho. For Vert(if you're up for intimidating bowls and all), i Chelsea piers skatepark was fun. Too many scooters tho

I went to New York City for my first time two months ago. It was super fun but really cold. Skated les, tribeca, riverside park, Tompkins, cooper and couple skate spots. Les is for sure fun but I don’t think it’s like the most friendliest vibe in my own opinion. At the very least they were polite which is still a plus

I definitely agree that LES is the most intimidating park. I’m from ATL and skated there last Monday and I did not feel like it was all too welcoming. Not to mention that I set my jacket down and had coffee dropped/thrown on it while I wasn’t looking 🙃 (It was 100% out of the way of everyone too)

I went there as a beginner, and I don't think its intimidating if you go early. I went early so there were less people but even with more people there at about 12 it was so much fun and no-one bothered us. There was a crackhead hitting a tree with a stick nearby though. I learned to drop in, got 50 50s on lock, and my friend learned to board-slide. Way more fun then tribeca.
