The person posting this is older as he refers to the Broadway BMT. I remember in the late 60s through the 70s when trains ran much more frequently during rush hours one right behind the other. But you did not have the crippling delays that you have now. Im glad they brought back N express service in manhattan as the N is to the R what the 2 is to the 1 train or the A is to the C train. Basically express and local trains on their respective Avenues. Id also like to see express N service beyond 34 th street up to 57 th street as it was years ago.

The new Q announcements pronounce Dekalb Deh-kalb but the Q announcements from a year ago pronounced it as Dee-kalb

where is the best express stop in the city to film trains during rush hour? I've always liked 59th and Columbus circle seems like those trains fly thru

You must be talking about the 2 and 3 trains, bc nothing flies through on the ABCD level lol. I would go to 103 corona, 90 elmhurst, morrison-soundview, and anywhere along the N and F in brooklyn at the moment.

I'm not entirely sure, but there is a proposal that the next subway design, the R211s, will feature open gangways.

About time they did that, it increases capacity on the trains and makes them safer if I heard correct

Although I'm wondering if they will be doing that if the trains will still have a conductor. Because full 480, 510, 561, and 600 foot trains will be split in two.

Of course. The individual train units will be walk-through. There's no issue with the conductor cabs bisecting the train.
