The one thing that always manages to confuse me is seeing people rush to catch one train when there's another one heading in the same direction sitting on the opposite platform.

Also, one train can be leaving before the other & they want to try and be on their way as quickly as possible. So therefore, they try to go after the one that’s leaving first.

Because both trains we're made by the same company. The R143 was built in 2001, the R142A in 1999. The R188 uses the same propulsion system because it was only logical for an R142A clone to sound identical.

They have to wait for the all clear signal, meaning adequate separation from the train in front of them and track switches set for the correct route.
