Have your maintenance seal areas around your sinks. Also, your building should have an exterminator spraying your apartment regularly. You’ll have to watch for Bennett’s cat food and water being a source that attracts bugs.

Every time I think wow this is my favourite vlog - funny, entertaining and all the feels - then here we are - the picture was so crisp & clear - it was like I was standing in the street in NYC looking at flowers & buildings - then the editing and timing transitions to the music then the cockroach 😮OMG this all was just so good Alexis! ❤

I really enjoyed this vlog. When you showed that bug my eyes became as big as saucers and I gasped. I think if I found a bug that size in my apartment I would go nuts. Thankfully where I live we don't have any bugs. I am totally not a bug lover. The fun of living in a big city though is very attractive. I was raised in Philadelphia, PA. Yes there we had to contend with roaches but there was always so much to do and see. My favorite was always going to the Museums. Thank you Alexis for the wonderful vlog. Have a good one.

That was a waterbug. Creepy ass bug. Look up what bugs don't like, peppermint oil spray and bay leaves.etc.. Conquer your space, and peace of mind.♡ great video 🎉

Loved this video! Also, the roach situation is why I don't miss living in NY no matter how much I love it.. well, that and the cold winters.. but NY in the spring is just so beautiful!

If you open your windows make sure you add a window screener so they don’t fly in and enter lance door has a rubber seal so they don’t come into the doors. This happens all the time from older or prewar buildings but with those things I mention it prevents them from getting access

Omg! You caught the roach?! I usually just throw my shoe at them and hope for the best… usually it works… But roaches that size are usually from outside… you might want to check for an holes near the radiators in your apartment as well as the entrance door.

Is it better/easier to audition in person or video?

there are definitely pros and cons to both, but i think in person auditioning is easier because you can just show up and leave it all in the room. video auditions give you the chance to perfect it, but it takes a lot of energy and money for it to maybe not be seen.

i'll back you up for spending money, i would love to do musical related activities in nyc ! living vicariously through you rn i'm curious for auditions, do you have to learn a new song / monologue / choreo from whoever wants to hire you to film or do you choose something yourself usually?

it depends! usually i have to learn a new dance for each call, but i can typically sing songs i already know
