Hundreds of tenants in New York City-owned properties can wait an entire year for a simple repair in their apartment, and that average wait time has gotten longer. CBS New York investigative reporter Tim McNicholas is asking the city's largest landlord why.

I don’t know why people believe all in NYCHA developments don’t work. I pay $1427 a month and they don’t do the repairs in a timely manner.

Its the workers I guarantee you. Get paid hourly they will take their sweeeet time. Bet they show up late or constantly on break.😂

Lazy Tenants, do your own repairs. What if you owned it? who would have to do repairs???? YOU, be more resourceful.

If they were here illegally, they would be housed in better conditions and receiving more cash & food assistance. Sure, I could criticize them for complaining about free or reduced rent public housing, but it's messed up that these are AMERICANS and long time residents and are not getting more help. Our government gives them the shaft, just like they do to veterans, disabled, and elderly folk. There'd be more government money to help these people if we weren't burdened with helping "undocumented newcomers." Unfortunately, people voted for this. Keep voting Dem.
