just had a stump grounded at my house. they missed a small section. i had to finish the job with a mattock/pick axe. took hours and wrecked my back. this machine would have come in handy. i love the crunching noise. i now have a deep hatred for stumps.

we use a nye frost hook and it works well but we have to put on the brush rake to clean it up

I wanted to see it do that big one. I dug out four large oak trees from around my house. I did not saw the off, I used the trunk for leverage to push them over after digging a trench around the whole tree.with my John Deere 510 backhoe. By large I mean 50 foot high with a 12 foot wide root mass.

Was it just me, because most of that wood seemed dead and rotted. If so, a medium sized backhoe could have done the job without difficulty. Then, used the loader bucket to clean the job up nicely. One less tool to rent or own. Less expense...

I didn't see any cut stump in that video 48 inch diameter, did you mean circumference, or maybe that's the root ball size That thing looks fine for small stuff but I am digging out red elms the size of pickup trucks. Trees 5 to six foot diameter. The hard part is putting them up on the burn pile If you wanted to actually sale this thing you should do a how to pull and dispose of stump how too video. I have no problem just burning them, even though a stump is a heat sink and takes a lot of heat to burn, fan forced oxidation takes care of that. This Item like most Splitters would be great for quick burning of small stumps, increasing the surface area, and allowing a faster burn. I have several farmers who have asked me how to get rid of stumps I told them to get a use a leaf blower and a PPV fan to super heat and dry them, get them hot enough and even the organic dirt burns.

Poor stumps never stood any chance.

I recall when it has taken me a full day or more to dig stumps that size out, That sure is a mean piece of kit, and really not that large or heavy to carry around?
