Thank you!! It is great design, very easy to maintain, and refill. I like also how easy it is to adjust the flow of the unit, just twist.

I find that if your using carbon you can’t fill the chambers full. I leave like 2” space. But I’ll mess around with it more . Only had it for a few days

What did is leave 1/2" between the Filter Pad and the Separator they supplied and another 1/2" from that to the carbon to allow it to suspend when being used. In time the Filter pad will be pushed up to the separator supplied, allowing for even more suspension. It took me about an 15 minutes to dial it in and after that really have had not to do anything. I plan to put another one in next to it for Phosphate reduction.

K R I picked up two mesh bags from petco. 6x8” Filled the first mesh bag on the bottom , then another bag on top of that one. 1/2 full ? I took the center piece out. And also took out the sponges.

@@realdealaquatics8601 Yes 1/2 Full and you can stack them without the spacer. I just had to do with with some Seachem silicate removal.

The two chambers are not adjustable. I placed GFO in the first chamber and use the two sponges and it tumbles. If you do not want the carbon to tumble in the second chamber you could use a media bag. You could also reverse the two and put the carbon in the bottom chamber and squeeze the sponge up, and use the top for GFO.

I have not had the top pop off at all on mine. Been running it now for 4 months without any issues. As for for it running down the side and the skimmer I can not comment. My media reactor chamber is after my skimmer and before my return pump.

When I used Carbon in it I used Filter Floss inside the unit and pushed the top foam bad down and used the filter floss as a way to keep it from pushing back up.
