You add this to the cameras they have all over, congestion pricing on the horizon and literally 2 ticket people to every block it really is becoming more stressful to live here everyday. Since i move out of ny in 2012 i don't know what tolls are..parking tickets...street cleaning tickets...ect... I even got a ticket once in ny for something missing or broken in the car....the car was new,, the ticket was $40 but why loose a days work to fight a ticket.. bunch of thieves.

Why are ANY "boots" required? People can't register their car/truck if they don't pay tickets already? And once you hit a certain amount, they tow your car? A damaged windshield will cost the city $500 plus ADAS alignment.

$185 for a PARKING VIOLATION is absolutely insane!! A red light camera ticket in Nassau County is $150. And that’s a MOVING VIOLATION. A parking ticket in Cedarhurst is usually $35. I get it, they need to enforce parking rules in an extremely congested city but $185 is too much!!

They push cars to Americans but here in New York they do everything they can to make it unpleasant. Take the subway but crime has skyrocketed down there. E bike batteries are exploding everywhere burning out people homes, the price of a monthly is comparable to just gotten an E bike or cheap moped. The bike would pay for itself fairly quickly if it dint blow up first. Accidents have risen as the people on these bikes don’t follow the traffic rules cars do but ride with the cars in traffic. Bicycles only go as far as your fit or the time you have to get where you’re going. It’s a lot to deal with in the city!

It's amazing how much effort the city will spend on anything that generates revenue. Imagine if they were as hard on crime. That's what so many people don't understand. New York City could absolutely be a beautiful and safe city if the people who ran it wanted it to be. Instead they prefer to run it like a financial vacuum. Their sole focus is on anything that can bring in more money. If they spent half of what they brought in instead of pocketing it, New York City could do a complete 180 in terms of cleanliness and crime.
