I have watched every New York Giants influencer and only one brought up that Tyler Nubin had meniscectomy surgery after the regular season on his lateral meniscus in his right knee, which is why his combine and pro day numbers were not the best. Not even ESPN pointed this out.

DJ never had a shot. Played behind a terrible OL since day 1. No WR1 either. Now he’s all banged up and injury prone. It’s a shame.

He was a reach for a first round pick to begin with. He never had a shot cuz he was never the guy to begin with unfortunately

He never should have been a Giant. He was a reach when he was drafted, underwhelmed when he played, is injury prone, and costed the franchise Barkley & McKinney because of his terrible contract.

Ed Reed type, he can be an Ed Reed type safety, we will see 👀 how this pan out this season ,hopefully, we can find a way to stay in the chase go Giants

He's super smart, but hold the brakes on the Ed Reed comparison. That man is legendary lol I'd compare him to Kyle Hamilton in terms of IQ and overall awareness. Not super athletic but just knows where to be. Kyle Hamilton is really good though and he has a longer frame and arms than Nubin so we'll see.

Giants did not need to draft a QB because they signed Drew Lock. Lock is more than a high-end insurance policy. He will compete with DJ for the No. 1 slot in preseason. While DJ rightfully has the pole position, straight up, Lock has better arm talent, read capability and pocket presence. He appears to have benefitted from his time working with Geno Smith and under Pete Carroll. Call it maturation. He's a No 1 caliber QB. Not a DJ hater - he had an excellent 2022 campaign. I hope he fully recovers. But ACL & neck injuries are serious, and affect an important element of DJ's game - running. His injuries required a serious response. Signing Drew Lock was that response. Right now, the QB room - DJ, Lock & Devito - has both talent and experience. Provided the O-Line holds up, the Giants passing game will flourish. The Giants WR Corp is stocked, and don't overlook draftee gems like Tyrone Tracy and Theo Johnson, who will make important contributions in time. With reasonable health, the 2024 Giants will win at least 10 games and be a competitive force moving forward.

Agree 100%. Liked to avoid contact, and wasn't all that in coverage. I think Nubin will be just as effective or better right away.

I actually agree I really don't get why he's hyped. Maybe it's his personality and he was a leader. Other than that he wasn't amazing. Coaches put him in the right spots to succeed. He was replaceable in my eyes but apparently I'm in the minority.

The fact that Amani Toomer announced Theo Johnson as the pick, forgot his name on this video, then labeled him as a blocking tight end might be the most ignorant series of statements I've ever heard. Jesus christ. II keep track of what's going on throughout the year and watch film on guys but I'm no expert and even I knew Theo was literally a Darren Waller insurance clonee. He is athletic, 6'6 260 and can move fast for his size and a catcher of the ball. He is okay at blocking but he can get better. That was just a terrible take. Love you though Amani, seriously!

The good ole Murphy's Law, what can go wrong, will go wrong. That's what happened. A series of unfortunate events, snoball rolling downhill, dark storm cloud hovering over the Giants. Whatever you wanna call it. It just seemed like it couldn't have possibly gotten any worse. I think we need a new head of health, the current guy has been around for decades and he's obviously not preventing injuries. We need a new field as well.

DJ will only will play a few games this season and that's it,, neck injury, hamstring and ACL ,,even without A reacever or bad OL,, he never had convinced season,,, so say hello to Drew Luck,,

DJ can be decent, kirk cousins type, surround him with talent and Giants can compete

cousins is more than decent lil bro. Kirk put up some ridiculous stats in Minnesota and was on pace to be one of the most productive QB's in the league last season until he got injured. The problem with Cousins has always been his performance in big games. Never looked great in the playoffs.

Sadly the Giants have the worst QB room in the NFL. I can't think of a single team that would trade their situation for the Giants with an overpaid, mediocre, injury prone QB and nothing else of any value. Let's hope for 0-17 next season and get a QB.

I’d prolly feel the same way going to the Giants right now. I wanted Odunze too but if I’m being real I think Nabers is the best WR in the class. He’ll be fine

I'd be unhappy too. The man has high expectations for himself and he knows the QB is a big part of his success. DJ is trash. He'll have a new QB soon though. Maybe Drew Lock starts due to DJ's injury clause guaranteeing 30 mill cap hit if he gets injured. Similar situation to Russel Wilson. They benched him to prevent injury and avoid the huge cap hit if he got injured. Same thing will happen with DJ this year. He's gonna start a few games and will suck, then they will sit him, then cut him at the end of the season to avoid his guaranteed money.
