The lyrics are from the skaldic poem Darraðarljóð, also known as the Song of the Valkyries: Vindum, vindum vef Darraðar, þann's ungr konungr átti fyrri; framm skulum ganga ok í folk vaða, þars vinir órir vópnum skipta. Vindum, vindum vef Darraðar ok siklingi síðan fylgjum; þar séa bragnar blóðgar randir, Gunnr ok Göndul es grami fylgðu. Vindum, vindum vef Darraðar, þars vé vaða vígra manna; lótum eigi líf hans farask, eigu valkyrjur vals of kosti. I love it.Thanks Nytt Land.

@@kaybretschneiderkb nytt land and heilung are way less commercial, their music doesnt appear in a show and are listenning by very few people, wardruna makes duo and feat with famous people and is more accessible and doesnt have throat singing. i believe a lot of Heilung and Nytt land listenners already know Wardruna, even if they doesnt know their name, at least their music.

Just listened to this and of course watched the video for the first time. Very interesting, it feels primal but it also feels foreboding and centered around death. Sure enough scroll through the comments and it’s about the Valkyries!

Ваша музыка как Воспоминание и Возрождение, как что-то Далекое и в то же время очень Близкое, как погружение вглубь себя и обретение подлинной родины - связь с Вселенной, с Матерью - Природой. Да, это погружение внутрь. И музыка идет оттуда, из глубины души. И вся окружающая природа становится ближе. Люблю Север, Скандинавию, Сибирь. Люблю культуру кочевых народов Севера. И Исландию люблю. За что любят Север?...

@Maria Rosa Dias Me too. If you're interested check out the Hu. They do a very similar thing, only they're Mongolian. Or just search KZfaq for throat chanting. I know it's common in Native American culture as well

Хорошая музыка и песня, под нее очень хорошо думать, мыслить, философствовать да и читать можно. Она вообще не напрягает а даже вводит в полутранс. И это при том что звуки достаточно резкие, но под многую другую музыку даже думать трудно, просто потому что сбиваешься с мысли.

More "shaman" than druid -- you are correct to associate that word with Celtic Gauls & Eirean, Scots & Picts, Britons. Shaman is more Rus, Scandi, Germanic.
