I don't know how I ended up watching somebody's college homework but this was quite an enjoyable breakdown.

Now one thing I like about this scene is at the time of all of this we had owned a few horses and also we owned a dog that we called the pony as a nickname.... Now after I saw all this we would often throw the word pony into the conversation and try to steer it that way in attempt to confuse, annoy and make whomever we were talking to agree into something tacitly that was usually outrageous.....such good times, I love this movie so much.

Whenever negotiating for a sale, whether in a taxi or public market, it helps greatly to show the money. If the seller sees the money in your hand he will not want to watch that cash walk away. Prices collapse when they see the cash about to walk away.

As someone who heavily sucks at bargaining. This is good advice :D
@joebombero12 жыл бұрын
@@moonshine3678 if they ask for $30 have money ready, maybe $18 in a front pocket and more in another pocket. Reach into the front pocket and count the money in front of them. "Oh, sorry. I only have $18." Then start to walk away. They will stare at the cash and quickly call you back hahaha. Works great.

The original book is also very good.

Americans used to know how to bargain like this. The rest of the world still does, but the skills have lapsed for average Americans. Which is why foreign store owners and market sellers smile to see an American tourist walk up. They know they will sell for 2-3 times the value.

I really like this idea... you americans are so kind of good. however, why not? This movie is good -- True grit.
