When Stern went to Sirius the show went flat as a warm week long opened soda. With the FCC rules he had to be creative, when he went satellite he could curse and tell the raunchiest “jokes” with no thought of punishment, like a kid who owned a candy store and forgot about the dentist trips.
@thegreatrenaldo77183 жыл бұрын
You obviously never heard of Stern the first 10 years of when he went to Sirius
@jameretief83273 жыл бұрын
@@thegreatrenaldo7718 yeah I did, and in my opinion half of his humor was getting around the FCC rules till Janet wanted to resurrect her flabby career with her flabby tits. Even the movie “Private Parts” acknowledged this in one scene with them using “innocent” words to imply a raunchy scenario! Even a mediocre comedian knows just throwing out curse or salacious words just for shock value doesn’t work unless it’s framed. Think of Carlin’s masterpiece “7 Words You Can Never Say On TV”, possibly the most brilliant comedy sketch ever done from one of the greatest comedy albums ever done, “Class Clown”. He did some funny stuff on Sirius, but nothing that came close to his open air broadcasts….in my opinion.

@@jameretief8327 I've been a fan since I was a kid and saw his TV show on Channel 9, lesbian dating game and I was hooked. Some (not all) of his best years was when he went to sirius, especially early on (2006-2012). That's my opinion though. I will say this that the show nose dived when marcy turk took over I think in 2015. Gone were the usual antics/crazy games etc and it's not centered around 2nd tier lame staffers. I used to listen every day but i'll pop in a couple times a week. She ruined the show. and for the record I think Carlin is the greatest comedian ever.

Howard‘s first wife Allison when she was on the air would very often love to tell Howard that she’s the only one raising the children. Truth is she was not raising those girls at all except teaching them how to be utterly useless like her. Started with talk about her being useless whether she was on the air or not. I’ll kinds of simple tasks thatAny wife should be able to just do she just couldn’t do. I still remember one that involved him just leaving her a note next to the checkbook on the kitchen table saying can you send a check to so-and-so for this amount. And no she just couldn’t seem to remember it. One of his best fights on the air with his wife was an argument about his daughters receiving these lockets as gifts from Robin and them sitting in their home watching their girls opening the lockets and being so thrilled about them and him turn into his wife and saying Robin is so generous to our girls she is so nice could you please have the girls send her a thank you note and Allison agreed. But sure enough that thank you note never happened. So Howard got embarrassed on the air when Robin suddenly said did your daughters get my lockets? Did they like them.? Allison was basically a big do nothing who just was out there enjoying seaweed wraps and tennis lessons swimming whatever the hell except taking care of things in the home. When you were young female growing up and your mother is a big do nothing what do you think you’re going to turn out to be? Now all three of Stearns girls are just trust fund babies who don’t do anything for society. It looks like they all had to tone down their criticism of him for fear of losing out On his money. It’s not like they’re capable of doing anything productive to make money on their own.
