My Mom loved this song. It was a big part of my youth. When I hear this song, I'm back in the kitchen hearing my Mom sing to it on the radio. She passed away in 79. I'm now 59 years old and turn to 10 yrs old when I hear this song !!

O.C. Smith was my father. I was born blind, and now as grown man, I feel I am giving back to my father for what he shared and did for me. I just remastered this song and hopefully soon, we'll release it. You can also find a lot about me and what I am doing. I want to share a 1,000,000 acts of kindness. It's called the Little Green Apples Project. Even though I am blind, I am learning how to pitch a baseball, so I can pitch a ball in every minor and major league baseball field. Funny story about this song, growing as a kid my daddy would play this type of music. And when he and my mom separated, I remember him leaving with his stereo on the back of his nova car, saying to me don't cry. Daddy will be back .L.O.L I remember this song and I remind him of that day and he felt so shameful. It wasn't about hurting him, all I want to say: God didn't make little green apples in the summer time.

I played in the Floor Shows of O.C.Smith, as a Drummer. We were an International 11 Man Band. All, very good Musicians on Stage. The Shows were all sold out. O.C. Smith was very popular and had many Female Fans. Many Artists play his Hit "Little Green Apples" in their Repertoire. He was a fantastic Entertainer and a great Soul and R & B Singer. His Voice was velvet soft and deep. For me,he had the same Voice like Lou Rawls. It was an Exciting Time for me, as a young Drummer. P.C.
