I'm not a communist, nor a sovietophile but you just gotta admire the Red Army Choir's voice. I'm no musician either so I can't exactly describe it but there's something about the way they sing, along with the enviable unity which gives songs a unique and pleasant twist.

The only thing is that's not the real french part, in the french version we all sing: "God keep our land, glorious and free, O Canada we stand on guard for thee O Canada we stand on guard for thee" instead LMAO The real french part (in the bilingual hymn cause in the two first lines are also french) is after "True patriot love in all of us command", we sing: "Car ton bras sait porter l'épée, il sait porter la croix, ton histoire est une épopée, des plus brillants exploits"

I unironically want our schools to play this song at least once in a while. Even though this is from the Red Army choir, this version has much more emotion and pride than the versions of the anthem that they play daily.

Well as a Canadian who’s heard this song more times than I can count, this rendition feels different. Really the only way I can describe it is they took the calm and methodical formula and added this “gusto” to it. Almost making this simple song a grandiose piece, but that is just the Soviet choir being the Soviet choir.

Well, well, well, it appears that I must issue a formal apology, as I have been unfortunate enough to stumble upon the most epic and mind-blowing rendition of the Canadian national anthem imaginable. Oh, woe is me! Truly, the experience of listening to such a magnificent performance has left me feeling overwhelmed and utterly underwhelmed at the same time. I mean, who needs epicness and mind-blowing sensations when you can have monotony and boredom, am I right? In all seriousness, however, I must express my deepest apologies for subjecting myself to such an exhilarating and emotionally charged rendition of "O Canada". How could I have been so foolish as to allow myself to experience such an intense rush of national pride and musical ecstasy? So, to all those who may be listening, let it be known that I am truly sorry for having the audacity to immerse myself in the glory and majesty of the Canadian national anthem. May you all forgive me for my foolishness and never make the same mistake as I have. Again, I am sorry!
