😆 This rendition of this song just gives me chills upon chills. It’s so beautiful. Love to watch you being a musical geek in your reactions. EJ is such a magnificent tenor. This is definitely one of my favorite Voctave performances.

So happy you reacted to this and analysed it, one of my favourite tenor showcases ever. EJ Cardona has the best tone colour and voice texture I've ever heard come out of a leggiero tenor, he has to be operatically trained (those C5 are too easy and resonant 😂); and yes there's definitely some super accurate work and care put into the composing process, all transitions,entrances and cut offs ara perfectly mastered (their lifelong experience in musical theatre and acapella groups does help a lot) and what about all the chords progressions Jamey Ray comes up with, just unbelievable. P.S On their newest album the harmonies are even juicier,I thought it was impossible but I stood corrected. If you want to hear more Tiffany, the second soprano, listen to their version of The Impossible Dream, she absolutely nails her solo.

I believe EJ is only trained for musical theater stuff, could be wrong. He played the Hunchback for a while several years ago.

@@charliecampbell6851 That would be even more impressive if he hadn't. I've heard many Broadway singers went through some opera training and now strongly suggest it .

@@gegiocavacci2589 wow I just went back to a live stream they did a while ago. At one point they go through and mention what schooling and singing experience they have. EJ says he sang at church through high school and then....... that's it. Sounds like he didn't go to college for music at all, just went straight to professional theater and then into Disney. Insane

@@gegiocavacci2589 haha yeah, wish I was a high tenor. Stuck in depressing baritone land at the moment. It's incredible how much weight he has in his high register. It sound like he's hitting some of his higher notes when he's singing fs and gs, and then when he gets up to b flat and c it still has the same resonance and tone. Crazy.

Outstanding build up!!!!! They sound like expanded version of Pentatonix when their harmonies are concerned. And that lead guy wow!!! And the end was EPIC!!!!!! What did I just hear!!!!?!???????!? They gained my attention now 😜

25 whole seconds on that last note for EJ.... He sings higher in Let There Be Peace, The Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame, Disney 90’s TV Medley (at the end he hits a high e flat), and a few others.

Tiffany sings that one high descant, but Kate sings 1st soprano on this song and has all of the highest notes in this song. Tiffany’s got a fantastic range too, you should check out Voctave’s the impossible dream or o holy night to hear her have a solo.

Great reaction man, and I REALLY like when musically inclined people actually ANALYZE what they are hearing, there are WAY too many "reactors" that just say, nice song, they sound good...and move on to make another video. When you are in the presence of greatness, don't be afraid to spend some time and figure out WHY it is great, and what makes it so. They have the best cut-offs of any group, bar none. Beautiful harmonies and phenomenal breath control aside, they are not afraid of empty space. It adds to the beauty and dynamics of each arrangement. Keep up the good work my man.

One of my favourite Voctave performances for sure. The arrangement, harmonies and dynamics are truly heavenly. When 11 people can whisper and then blow the roof off the place that's saying something! EJ is awesome in this one - he gives Mark Lowry a run for his money for longest note held. 🎶

His note at the end of this is much much longer than Mark's in Mary did you know. In Voctave's Heroes and Villains medley, he holds the last note 27 seconds - about twice as long as Mark's held note.

You need to check out Dimash in Sinful Passion! He holds a note for 25 secs...but he doesn’t just hold one note! For one thing...it’s stupid high and then he does some ridiculous runs in it as well! Amazing!!!

They have amazing voices esp. the solo singer here but for some reason and I don't really know what it is I can't get into feeling them. I think it's the high Soprano voices by the female singers. Not my thing. Never was, even in other groups or by solo artists. Plus this version is too classical and normal for my liking. I much prefer the fun and different version by PTX. But technical they are great ofc.
