Hi there, I am a Christian and also pray for peace. But please do not call this current genocide a war on Israel. Not when it so blatantly is a genocide, where premature babies were left to die and decompose and rot alone in a hospital because IDF troops would not allow Palestinians to go into the hospital to collect the dead boddies that were abandoned or massacred....... Where Israelis dedicate bombs to there children before firing them into school and churches and hospitals...... Children as young as 5 years old are arrested, tortured, raped, beaten, starved and thrown in jail. Amongst many many more atrocities and war crimes. Including over 6000 children have been murdered since 7 OCT....... I am praying for peace for everyone. Israelis and Palestinian people. There are innocent people on both sides....... But do not call this a war on Israel or say Israel is being held captive when clearly this is NOT true. There is a very clear genocide and ethinc cleansing being done to the Palestinian people. 💔

God is too faithful to fail. I am glad that you are a messianic christian, otherwise you had to be included in Revelation 7:1-8 to be saved. In your case when the sixth seal is opened all your sufferings will end, and you will be forever with Christ the anointed Messiah. Shalom to you.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed this slightly unique version. I’m actually a kiwi girl. I was born and still live in New Zealand (though I do have Irish heritage) Singing this song and getting to be in Israel let alone film there was truly a remarkable experience. Hebrew is a beautiful language. The producer I worked with in Poland is Jewish I was in Israel to record another song in Hebrew (Avinu Malkeinu ) from the same album and this led to translating part of this song.

This song means so much to me. Even though Israel became a Nation in 1948 there are still captives all over other parts of the world. Emanuel will come again and end all captivity forever. No political ruler could ever do that, in a fallen world. Only God can.

I did just look it up for a minute.immanuel (hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל ‘īmmānū’ēl, meaning, "god is with us"; also romanized: emmanuel, imanu'el; also አማኑኤል ('amanuel') in geʽez and amharic, and emmanouël or εμμανουήλ in koine greek [κοινή ελληνική] language of the new testament) is a hebrew name that appears in the book of isaiah (7:14) as a sign that god will protect the house of david.[1] This is amazing. He always does protect a remnant. Revelation 12. He will do it again. The woman escapes into the wilderness for the 1260 days. This is during the reign of the anti christ. It ads up to 3 1/2 years

John Herlihy - Thank you for that information. I have always loved this melody. Anna's angelic singing, the Hebrew lyrics and the scenes of Israel make this video just hauntingly beautiful to me, as it affects me physically...with chills in my skin and a lump in my throat.

@@Rebecc765 I couldn't have said it better myself! I first heard this song at Christmas time in Catholic church in the 70s and never knew the words beyond the main refrain. Imagine my joy a year ago when I decided to search it out on KZfaq and found this hauntingly beautiful version!! AWESOME!!!

As Chris Stapleton said of bondage in his song "Can You run" those in bondage are eager to get the taste of bondage off of their tongues" God bless and protect Israel and the Jewish people of the world . I am still amazed at the perfection of her voice when I come each year to hear her Christmas songs!!! I pray she has come to know the Lord Jesus as her Savior---He is the one who gave her the beautiful, clear voice and beauty----she needs Him to redeem her and to complete her life!!!! This is true for everyone on the earth---i am not saying this---Jesus Christ did. Emmanuel mean God with us and that is what Jesus was when He was here on earth with us.
