Easy to set up and play, and all on a single sheet of 4x8 plywood. More information at: www.wymann.info... More train puzzles at: www.transum.or... Here's a link to a drawing showing the Lionel Fastrack I used. drive.google.c...

Thank, Rex. Pity you couldn't complete all the tasks satisfactorily. I'm gonna reproduce this exact problem with my N scale trains and tell you my results, but first I'm gonna count the number of maneuvers you made here, cos as you may know that is what really count in the real thing !. I'll see if I can do it in a shorter period of time. I'll let you know. Thanks a lot for this vid and have many greetings from Santiago de Chile, South America. This is John. Cheers !.

The downside to your victory will be how low the bar is set when I'm in play. I should have put my 10-year-old cameraman at the controls. (but do let us know how it works out for you)

Great job on the camera work Wyatt. This is the first time I have seen O gauge as I have only just aquired my very first train set OO gauge. (Im a late starter at 64yrs of age. Awesome little video that was well presented and once again well done Wyatt.

Loved the video. I have an ingelnook in N scale. I have watched your reloading videos and loved them. I had no idea you were also a model railroader. A man after my own heart. Keep making the videos and I'll keep watching!

Thank you, Frederic. I have no experience with N scale but it would seem you could almost realize all of your railroad fantasies inside a normal basement with those little trains. O looks great and it's so much fun to play with, but you can't get much prototype action in most houses.

Thank you. This is bittersweet to watch. The little boy who was operating the camera for me moved only yesterday. He and his three sisters were so special to Jennifer and me. We even substituted once for their real out-of-town grandparents at a school function. They’ve moved to a bigger house in a neighborhood with over 50 children, so I’m happy for that. Very "human" indeed.

You have a great personality and this was a wonderful and entertaining presentation. You also remind me of my high school band director, which is another plus :)

Well, my high school band director was a favorite teacher and a great guy, so I'll take that as a major compliment. Thank you so much!

The Inglenook puzzle was based upon Kilham Sidings in Northumberland in the north-east of England, an hour or so north of the original stockton and Darlington railway. www.wikiwand.com/en/Cornhill_Branch en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilham,_Northumberland The sidings closed in 1953.

At 22:19 i was like nonononononono Rex :-) There is your Misstake. You pull all the 3 Cars to (your) left, turn the Switch to (your) Track 1, move last Car (in current Train) to (your) Track one, Park it next to the blue (ish) move the Tank car and the other one back to the main Line, uncouple Engien and pickup the 3 Cars from (your) track 2, move it to the (your) left and back to the 2 cars on main Line :)

Great video, enjoyed it very much. I'll bet the dispatcher is going to have fits when the next train he sends out gets half way to Chicago and gets a call that his train is stopped at a red signal because the block is occupied by that car the switching crew left on the main line. lol

That would make a great KZfaq channel name: "Switchin' On The Main Line." ;>)

Well Rex... I gotta give you a thumbs up for commitment. I wonder if trying to sequence the cars from the last car to the engine would have worked better.

Great video Rex, you know, you got me looking forward to your videos, it's been too long since your last one.. If you do another, can you do it on reloading, the longer the better, if I can make a suggestion, maybe the .45 GAP or .357 Sig Thanks Eric
@RexRoach5 жыл бұрын
Eric, I appreciate your words so much. Right now I'm terribly frustrated with KZfaq and their "Community Guidelines" which forbid videos which show how to make ammunition. They pulled down my "Bullet Casting Extravaganza" video and I had to delete three more which gave steps on how to make ammo. Ironically the one YT pulled only showed how to cast bullets, but I suppose to most people, "bullets" are the same as ammunition. Anyway, I'll be doing videos on reloading machines, trains, recording and whatever else might seem a bit interesting, but no step-by-step guides to making ammuntion. I would LOVE to do one on the .357 SIG. I've never owned nor even shot a .45 GAP so that's out. When YT struck, I was just about to begin a series on black powder cartridge loading...

Funniest video I've seen on KZfaq. I bet if the camera wasn't rolling you would have done it in five minutes.

Great video, fun to watch. Your track plan shows 3 green sections of track that I'm assuming are the magnets to uncouple the consist. Couldn't find anything like them on the Lionel website. Please tell us where you purchased them from and the switching buttons that operate them? I was thinking about an Inglenook for my 11 year old grandson but the full sized version seems to be too complicated for an 11 year old. You might consider a smaller version of it that would be easier for younger kids. Thanx
@RexRoach3 жыл бұрын
www.lionel.com/products/fastrack-remote-uncoupling-track-6-12020/ It’s called a Fastrack remote uncoupling track and includes the switch and another half-length track section. As to complexity for a beginner, just reduce the number of cars.

was done wrong the last car should have not been there - it should have been on the rail next to you - put the three cars back in the middle thats car 3 4 and 5 go back to the main line with car 1 and 2 then reverse up collect last car on the main line put it in line 1 with the other 2 come back out re collect the three cars making the 5 you need run on to the main line with the 5 cars you have now and reverse up to the buffers thats it completed

That's a little dangerous leaving a car on the mainline
