Since I first got BFN(in June), I’ve actually mained Acorn. And I don’t mean it as I would play Acorn and then immediately hop into Oak. No, Acorn actually packs quite a punch in my opinion. The upgrades I have on him are Slap-Back, Natural 20, and Hardened. How I usually play as him is I shoot at the enemy, Acorn Dash away from more lethal attacks, and finish them off with a Sap-Trap(though it is problem sometimes when Sap-Trap decides that it wants to launch away an enemy instead of damage it). Sometimes, though, I win fights without using Sap-Trap, and the rarest occasions are when I win a battle only using my primary weapon. I also somehow figured out on my own that Sap-Trap can launch myself in the air. I don’t use that ability as a way to get away from an attack often, but it always manages to disorient enemies. Being a smaller and quicker target is how I survive(my best streak as Acorn is 25), even at low health. I also once used it to troll three of my friends; they were zombies(an Imp, an All-Star, and a Foot Soldier), and we were riding the Folly Trolly. We were in an area where there was water, and we weren’t fighting until I threw a Sap-Trap on the platform, which vanquished the Imp, knocked the All-Star into the water, and launched the Foot Soldier and I on top of a bush, which was an area that the game probably didn’t intend to be accessible to players. The Foot Soldier was annoyed at that point, and started attacking, so I fought back and we both ended up losing. That was fun. As for Oak, I only hop into Oak when I’m at low health(10 or less). But, since Oak is, admittedly, more powerful than Acorn, I don’t like to just hop out(since, while I _am_ an Oak, I can be more helpful to the team) after I regenerate health, but hop out when I’m in a situation where I need to get away. The only exception to not invoking my Oak unless I’m at low health when I’m playing on the map, Tourist Trap Island. On the final base, pushing the payload to flip the switch is, in my opinion, the best time to use Oak. With the Natural 20 upgrade, I can push the payload and knock away enemies that get too close to me and prevent me from pushing the payload, and being more powerful and having more health makes it easier to continue doing so. I also don’t hop _on_ Oaks much. I always tend to reload a lot(no matter what character I play) after a battle, so I have enough ammo for the next enemy, but I sometimes reload near an Oak, and end up hopping on it. Since I wouldn’t forgive myself hopping on an Oak and then hopping off, I usually stay with the Oak for a bit and keep it alive with Lumber Support(I don’t think many people know that you can see how much health an Oak has when you’re on one, but you can see his health-bar just below your own), but I end up leaving when I realize the Oak is fine without me, when the Oak Treejects, or when we’re in a sticky situation where we’re going to die and the Lumber Support ability isn’t ready or there isn’t enough time to use it(I’ve probably confused a lot of 80’s Action Hero’s when they realize they only vanquished the Oak, but not the Acorn they’d seen on it moments prior). So, yes, I’ve sometimes had to abandon an Oak and leave it to die. Sometimes, when I’m salty, I’ll hop on an Oak and use Lumber Support to over-heal myself and then hop off, but that’s a bit of a jerk move, so I only do that when I’m starting to become a frustrated Acorn. I believe that Acorn does pack a punch if you give him a chance, and can be an east character to play as and main on if played correctly. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but, as an Acorn, I’ve reached high streaks, been Vanquish and Assist Master for a fair amount of the games I’ve played, taken out loaded Space Stations on my own, and even once managed to take out a pre-patched AI All-Star. He’s worth giving a chance outside of just his Oak, as long as you veer away from squirrels and Snotcicles.

i swear this is the only tips and tricks guy that i have watched where my previous way of playing would be improved by watching the video and applying some of the things they do.

so sap trap becomes a gatling gun. I like to play acorn with hardened log jam and leveling up because i frequently switch from acorn to oak

I like hardened, party supplies, and slapback for acorn and hardened, molasses, and slapback on oak. Especially since the update.

What is the piano music the background?

Only downside to acorn is that he’s prone to one shots. But even then he’s two characters. Acorn is busted!

How do you switch between customising the acorn and the oak?

Why not just use the upgrade that makes Acorn have 100 hp instead? That and the extra ammo or the "every damage you make will give more ammo back" upgrade to make him last longer without the need to move that much

i dont understand the people who dont use the abilities to utplay people somtimes jump with the thing on top of a three and snipe them or jump bihind them or stuff like that with the movement too
