What are your thoughts on an English premier league team losing to a league two team in a cup. For example a week ago when Fulham lost to Crawley Town?

@N.B.M you make a good point. Fulham are fully match (or equal that to their oppoents) fit while Sydney are still in preseason versing a match fit team. It is unfair to compare syndey to fulham

@N.B.Mare you inferring that league two teams (three tiers below the premier league) should be beating premier league teams who have the best facilities, coaches managers, dieticians etc. And npl should not be beating the division above theirs. It is a fair point that the npl guys are semi-pro, but they still train 4 days a week, two days is what amatuers do. I don't think match fitness is really possible on two days training. Also if league two teams that whose wage.bills are 20times less than premier league teams (that is hiw much Fulham's are compared to crawleyd) are.premier leage players overpaid? And they league not worth that much?

itl never happen. It would literally kill a-league clubs. You think adelaide and glory fans will follow there games in the 2nd division? What if some club with a tiny field got promoted? we dont have the club history, supporters or infrastructure to do it. Same goes in the MLS in america. just not the main sport in the country.

People aren't really happy with the league recycling players atm, I feel this would increase with a second division, with the teams getting regulated selling/ releasing their better players. Also the players migjt not make enough money in a second division to live off of and would want to leave

@@Casanova-Frankenstein_93 it will happen. if these clubs fans wont follow them into the 2nd division, then they are weak. also, its the clubs fault for not being good enough in the first place. if they go under, so be it. and besides, James Johnson said it will happen. its just a matter of when

Sydney fc Fan. Not crying at all, it's great to see state league teams get up. They deserved to win, simple as that. The other positive is that it should ignite conversation about a second tier league to be promoted and relegated. I can't stand poor A League teams staying up (Including Sydney FC) and great state league teams not get an opportunity.

You should stretch before you reach like that. Thoughts on ANY lower league team in Europe beating a top flight team in the cup? Like say the FA Cup or League Cup? Happens everywhere, it’s what makes cup competitions exciting
