Shikhar is one of the nicest people out there. India was playing England in 2014 at Southampton. We were a bunch of Indian students studying at the University of Southampton and we decided to head to the hotel, where our players were staying to get a glimpse of them. One by one the Indian players started to board the bus. Virat had left early to practice and he was sweet enough to take pictures with us. We had a few students from Chennai who were super fans of Dhoni. While all the players took out time to click pictures with us, including Shikhar, Dhoni didn't entertain any of the fans and went straight to the bus. By that time Shikhar was inside the bus and he saw our disappointment. He immediately rushed out of the bus and told us that sometimes there is a lot of pressure due to which Dhoni likes to keep to himself. He apologized on his behalf and told us to take as many pictures of him as possible. That day he won our hearts. God bless him!!

credit to him for marrying a divorced woman with 2 daughters. like he said at 27 yrs old he had 2 daughter that was a different experience..respect him for accepting them. not easy for today's generation guys.

I really like him as a cricketer. He always wants to improve himself as a batsman day in and day out. He is aware of few of his technical flaws as a Test batsman, but he always tries to iron those out. I remember in CT 2017, he tried to play on the backfoot unlike his habits, becoz he was expecting the ball to swing. Not once did he come down the ground, which is actually his strength. Similarly, after getting out twice in SA tests against short balls, I am sure he has ironed out those flaws too, which is evident this IPL. He is really one player who can achieve a hell lot in future if he maintains his consistency and composure.
