The fact that these kids got those harmonies even close to right is impressive to me

just over a week ago, i performed as ti moune. it was my first lead role and from the beginning i thought i wouldn't be able to hit the notes and pull off playing such an amazing role. Without the ti moune in this production, i wouldnt have been able to do as well as i did. if you are somehow still in contact with her Katelyn, please tell her that without her, i wouldnt have been able to realise that it doesnt matter if i dont hit the notes, or if i muck up somehow, because ti moune is a person that embraces the mistakes in life. so for anyone who takes on the role of ti moune, get ready to participate in the best musical of your life. because without the ti moune in your production Katelyn, i wouldnt have understood how grateful i was, to join the line of all the incredible women that play the role. So thank you, Ti Moune in Katelyns production, i will miss playing ti moune along side you dearly.

why is no one talking about how talented the girl playing agwe is? even though she is female and normally the part is male, I think her voice was beautiful and rain was soooooo good.

Couple of hours ago I was depressed to watch for the 1st time "Junie B Jones the Musical" - annoyingly stupid empty froth that children should not be required to waste their talent on. So glad that I later found this as an antidote - a meaningful, moving production VERY well done. Thank you.

I watched this when I found out my school was doing this play. Honestly, it made me develop VERY high expectations for my teacher. This production was the reason I auditioned for a villager, and I got Gatekeeper! Beautiful work, you are an inspiration to all kids. Thank you for all of your videos. This production was great! Our director told us to look this up so we know how the story goes and flows, and to use this as an example for our own production. We’re doing this play for CLT this summer. I’m so excited! I know this sounds weird but I REALLY want to be ensemble. It’s so much fun to contribute to a big play with a small part. It’s so much fun because I have more freedom to get into the part without the trouble of lines.

How did you get nearly identical actresses for both Ti Mounes?!

It warms my heart to see this. I Ti’Moune in 8th grade. Many of my fellow actors and I went on to arts school for musical theatre. I still get out of music book and sight read every now and then. I love that kids are still doing this piece. I wish someone had recorded it, love to compare how I was then vs now. I’m sure these kids will want to do the same ❤

So my school finished this last year, and I have to say, I've never had more fun. It was great, if you're interested in theatre, and your school is doing this, by all means, become a part.

I love the fact that it’s a junior and all the main characters are middle schoolers and grown ups of course you can tell I’m being sarcastic they treat all the lil kids as background characters who else realized this
