Love these early rough cuts ... can't replace the innocence of those days ... when they had everything in front of them.... just another band dreaming of ruling the world ... before they did.

Liam is an absolute legend for including this early Oasis demo in his Definitely Maybe set list! Can't wait to hear it live in Manchester later this month! Hope Liam will also bring back other early unreleased songs like Take Me, Colour My Life etc. It's a pity these early songs are not on the new DM reissue

Liam does take the song to a higher level. Noel's version is very much more aggressive but lacks that rawness. Both are better than the average pop shitty anthem of the month...

I seriously think the final version is much better. The tempo is faster and more aggressive, and the verse is much better.

I love both versions but edge more towards this as my favourite I just love the raw 90s sound to it and the rhythm is truly awesome! Also if you search something like lock all the doors noel and Liam mash up someone has made it so that liam sings the chorus on noels new version. it's fuckin mega!

Just heard about bro singing this one for the DM '24 anniversary tour; had to look it up. I much prefer this version over HFB any day. What were they thinking? Should have been on an Oasis album back then. It honestly has a dark vibe that reminds me of a rain cloud that just burst open above a record store drenching it in gloomy happiness. The amount of great songs that were unreleased or Bsides were s just staggering. Oasis forever.

This is not grungey or punky, it's a genre called Shoegazing of which Ride were the masters in the early 90's. It was indeed derived from The Stone Roses 1st wave of popularity in '89/'90....

I wish the sound was clearer but the tune is still a rock

Noel's new album has a song which he says he wrote in about '92 and never finished, but gave a bit of it to the Chemical Brothers. We know that song was Comin' On Strong, which became Setting Sun, but it's this song's title that appears on Chasing Yesterday. So is his memory dodgy or is the new song going to include bits of Comin' On Strong AND this version of Lock All The Doors? Either way, I like the idea that the new album revisits his past, ties up loose ends and leaves him free to move on (see also Revolution Song, apparently left off Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants because Blur released Tender and he didn't want people to think he got the gospel idea from them). Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the album. Do the Damage is great.

Noel was sure on some amazing stuff in the early 90s. Even in the 2010s he could just pull things like this out of his backlog for solo material. Love the High Flying Birds version, and the original demo is great early Oasis.

This is closer to a shoegaze version. The NGHFB tempo suits it much better. Now, with the faster tempo and Liam what would it sound like? That is the question. Until that happens, the new version is the best.
